Ah the land of the free. This one's not about the cops, just the disgusting behavior of people. Veteran Civil Rights Auditor Jeff Gray holding his "God Bless the Homeless Vets" sign on a public sidewalk. Multiple people complain, one tells him to "get a job".
Why do people always say this? He has a job, and he's not panhandling but even if he didn't so what? And even if he were panhandling so what? It's constitutionally protected. This is the land of the FREE, not everyone wants to be the slave to another because they can't live without other peoples god money. So some choose not to, and ask others for help. It may not be something we agree with but it's literally their freedom to do so.
I bet a lot of these people would call themselves Christian too.
>Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
>“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
>“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
>“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
>“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
