Anon suggestion.

Just like field so riety tests, introduce filed test for drivers when pulled over, especially big rig drivers, that have the driver take 10 question test on an ipad, asking random, always changing, questions relating to road signs, in English.

Make it un-cheatable, as the questions on ipad are always changed up a bit and the order.

Imagine how many drivers would be removed from the road.

Make it a felony if caught a second time.

This would be super easy.

And set up random check points for the test just like they do random drunk drivers road surprise tests.

Truck drivers would abandon trucks and run down the highway that don’t speak English as they cannot just turn around at these surprise checkpoints along the U S highways.

The video would be great.

Duffy needs to hear this and tell Trump also.

Officers already have the body cam.

It would record in real time as the drivers cannot pass a simple 10 question test in English asking basic roadway sign questions with signs they probably have seen all day on the roads.

Actually let’s make it 17 questions.

Do a pat test for ear devices, so they cannot call a friend to help with the test.

I think this could be a way to clear the road of so many drivers that should not be on the road.

Driving school dmv basic road driving questions. Taken on ipad that records the test being taken in real time so it is shown they passes or not all i. Real time with receipts, front facing camera and keystroke recording. Real time scoring.

Imagine how many drivers pulled over in passenger cars would be removed also.

Mandatory study courses and relicensing.

Yes.

>>23528951

But taking a test to see if you understand reading road signs is not same as a body test.

You are given the privilege to drive after passing a driving test to even have a license.

If you cannot understand signs in english in real time, you in real time should not be on the road and would never have been given the privilege.

Not same as breath test or walking a drunk line test.

Make it a condition of receiving a drivers license when you first get a license that you agree to random road sign test questions if asked to perform one while driving/ pulled over.

Make it a TOS for drivers licenses.

Limited Driving Privilege in North Carolina - Gilles Law, PLLC

Driving is widely recognized as a privilege, not a right, because it requires specific qualifications, involves an agreement to follow traffic laws, and can be revoked by the state for violations. Unlike fundamental rights protected by the Constitution, the ability to operate a vehicle is a permission granted by the government upon meeting certain competency and responsibility standards. This distinction means that a driver's license is not an entitlement and can be suspended or canceled for dangerous or reckless behavior.

Why Driving is a Privilege

Governmental Grant:

A driver's license is a government-issued permit, not an inherent entitlement.

Conditional:

The privilege of driving is contingent upon the individual's ability to meet certain requirements, such as passing written and road tests.

Requires an Agreement:

Obtaining a license involves an agreement to adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Revocable:

Because it is a privilege, the state has the authority to suspend or revoke your driving privileges if you violate traffic laws.

Key Differences Between Rights and Privileges

Rights:

These are fundamental freedoms guaranteed by a constitution or law to all citizens, such as the right to freedom of speech or the right to vote. They are not earned and cannot be taken away easily.

Privileges:

These are permissions that are earned by meeting certain standards and can be taken away if those standards are not maintained.

Implications of Driving Being a Privilege

Responsibility:

Drivers must take their responsibilities seriously to maintain this privilege.

Safety Focus:

The potential for severe damage or death in vehicle accidents highlights why driving is regulated to ensure public safety.

Legal Precedent:

The U.S. Supreme Court has affirmed that there is no fundamental "right to drive".
