he doesn't mean that. He means that he will help and and respect them while the dutifully perform their public service.

He might also really love them, which is something that happens when you know them.

love means respecting them while they are performing their duty and NOT giving them grief while they are on the shift and must maintain their 'no excuses, no BS' stance.

too often that 'tell them' thing is done at the wrong time and it's really interfering with an officer while they are in a critical task.

for me, being so fond of police, I've often just gone to that place and, of course, I don't tell them. But I feel it while they are with me and they sense that I'm not out to harm them, and actually are worried about their well being.

that eases the situation and prevents them from being triggered into bad behavior.

you are not the police man's father.

you are not their to discipline them while they are on duty.

if you have a real issue with them you answer their questions honestly.

Don't be a sycophant. Enjoy their presence. pray for them silently. Don't give them guff.

you get what you give.

you give them indignation and expect the worst from them. you can't see them as dutiful men doing a shift.

you have a dark hearted view of them. They percieve this and some of them give back to you worse than you expect.

you tempt them into it.

If you'd see them as brothers, cousins, and possible friends or neighbors, someone you know's nephew or grand child, you would be far better off when you encounter them.

they aren't perfect, and you demand it from them which is an impossiblity.

so some of them give you back worse than you expect in a 'I see how you are, here's what you want, but worse' kind of way.

and it's YOUR mental attitude that tempts them into doing this.

you don't see them as working for you, and you give htem no respect. you mentally abuse them and many of them will give you back what you expect.

sad you can't understand and must continue in your vendetta of slander against officers of the law.
