Interesting. Kinda sorta ties into the theory I'm working on that the deep state is directing people's faith where they want it for their own ends, oblivious to the people whose faith is being used. Like, a lot of people aren't aware of their connection to God sort-of-thing, but the deep state is, and nudges people's faith where they want it with sympathy and emotional manipulation and shit.
