That's not what that anon said, and you know it. The officer made a legal request, and informed her that it was a traffic stop and why she was being stopped. In that case she must provide her license, insurance, and registration. it's not unreasonable for the officer to ask for this in this case.

 

If they just walk up to you on the street and demand to see your ID, that's an entirely different situation, in which case you aren't required to show them your ID.

Also maybe her vehicle registration was okay, but it was registered in her name, but it came back with an indication that her driver's license was expired.

 

Which thing (registration or license) was expired wasn't important. He stated that, but the driver never asked for clarification, but went straight to being belligerent.
