Initially it was supposed to be closed to the press, but President Trump decided to bring in the media as interest increased. President Trump hosted a significant group of some of the most influential tech leaders into the White House for dinner.

In large measure, this group is not -by disposition- very favorable toward President Trump, however with the power of the office they understand how dependent they are to his favor. From his perspective, Trump is leveraging the power and ingenuity of advanced technological capacity against adversaries who might align against ¹U.S. dominance (China, Russia et al), so this group represents a capability he is leveraging.

Some of the group, looking specifically at Bill Gates, are just plain globalist a-holes, promoting their self-importance as global influencers. President Trump’s decision to open the doors to the media puts the group in an uncomfortable position as they are then forced to reveal publicly their opinion of the assembly. ¹Russian President Vladimir Putin made remarks earlier in the day about discussions with President Trump and corporate global energy developers about collaborating in the artic circle and Alaska.

In the big picture, President Trump wants both peace and economic abundance globally, and while regional interests like Ukraine influence the background of collaboration, nonetheless the desire remains.

One side has raw industrial power; the other has technological capabilities. President Trump is leveraging the abilities of the latter against the strength of the former.

I enjoy watching this dance.

Somewhere in my smiling dream state I imagine Tulsi Gabbard and Marco Rubio discussing the challenges when President Trump walks into the room and says, “eh, quit worrying; if we need to, we can turn off their little machines. C’mon, let’s go eat tacos, and Marco can tell us about his trip down south.”

Details of Bolton Search Warrant Revealed as Warrant is Unsealed

The information about the investigation of John Bolton have been assumptions and leaks. However, within the recently unsealed search warrant carried out against the former National Security Advisor, we can see what the basis for the investigation consists of.

The reason for the investigation is: (1) “Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information”, and (2) “Unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material.” [Also noted “on or after April 9, 2018” – pg 9]

There are some interesting redactions within the search warrant related to the official duties and capacities of John Bolton as employed by the United States Government. [Page 9 of pdf, page 35 as printed] A secondary job title is oddly redacted. Also, did Bolton have an official alias?

I’m just dropping this raw information, because while interesting other matters are time consuming.

Bolton was President Trump’s national security advisor in 2018 and 2019

Pixel View: Alliances and allegiances have shifted. Back in 2018, Bolton was favored by Israel. Things have changed in the complicated dynamic. Bolton’s relationship with Qatar has put him on the opposite side of Israel.

President Trump Likely to Nominate Lt Gen William Joseph “Joe” Hartman as Head of NSA and U.S. Cyber Command

Lt General William Joseph “Joe” Hartman is a University of Southern Alabama graduate (class of ’89).Hartman had served as the deputy commander of U.S. Cyber Command, and previously served as commander of the Cyber National Mission Force. Before that, he served in various infantry, intelligence and cyber operations military roles in the U.S., Germany, South Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump is expected to nominate Lt. Gen. William Hartman, the acting leader of both the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command, to formally lead both agencies, two people with knowledge of the situation told POLITICO on Thursday.

Hartman has the support of top officials at the White House, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Defense Department, according to one of the people. Both individuals were granted anonymity as they were not authorized to speak publicly.

[…] Hartman’s paperwork will be sent to the National Security Council before hitting the president’s desk. The dual role is a Senate-confirmed position, given that it is a promotion to four-star general.

[…] Hartman is unlikely to face much pushback to his nomination in the Senate. He testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee’s cyber subcommittee in April, days after Haugh’s dismissal, and garnered praise from both sides of the aisle. (read more)

Hartman’s nomination follows Joe Francescon being picked to serve as deputy director of the NSA.

This is a critical nomination. It is a very interesting dynamic. The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) can block a nomination that is against their control efforts and that ultimately this becomes how the SSCI controls the power dynamic within the intelligence apparatus.

Deputy NSA Director Joe Francescon did not require SSCI nomination, and Joe Francescon was fully supported by DNI Tulsi Gabbard. To become Director of the NSA William Joseph Hartman appears acceptable to Gabbard, acceptable to the White House and acceptable to the SSCI.

DOUBLE DIPPING: Son of Minnesota AG Keith Ellison Wants to Keep Six-Figure City Government Job While He’s Away at Harvard(VIDEO)

Jeremiah Ellison is the son of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. He earns a six-figure salary as a member of the Minneapolis City Council.

The younger Ellison has now been awarded a fellowship at Harvard University in Massachusetts, a paid position, but he does not want to give up that sweet gig as a city councilor, naturally.

Even though he claims he is going to travel back to Minneapolis for some meetings, this situation is not sitting well with some of his fellow councilors.

Minneapolis City Councilman Jeremiah Ellison says he will continue receiving his six-figure salary despite accepting a full-time fellowship at Harvard, he announced Wednesday.

Ellison, the son of Minnesota Attorney General KeithEllison, is now facing criticism from his fellow councilmembers, who note that he will not be able to attend meetingsand fully carry out his role. Ellison currently receives a roughly $110,000 salary for his role on the council, and his fellowship at Harvard is a paid position.

“I am extremely disappointed in this, and I hope that my colleagues don’t allow this to happen — something to happen to North Minneapolis that is not good for them just once again,” council member LaTrisha Vetaw said during a press conference last month.

“Without Council member Ellison sitting on those committees, we have zero North Minneapolis representation on those committees. That’s not acceptable to the only other North side council member up here,” she added…

Council rules mandate that members must be physically present both to attend meetings and vote.

The fact that Jeremiah Ellison is even serving on the Minneapolis City Council tells you that he has greater political aspirations. This situation could potentially complicate those plans.

In June, the congressional trio issued subpoenas to former Vice President of Customer Service Alyssa Twomey and a Senior WorkFlow Specialist “regarding allegations that online fundraising platforms, including ActBlue, have accepted fraudulent donations from domestic and foreign sources.”

Initially, the duo had agreed to give their depositions to Congress, however, President Trump’s executive order on straw donor donations targeting ActBlue led their counsel to withdraw their offers, forcing the congressmen to issue subpoenas.

Last March, the New York Times reported that “at least seven senior officials” resigned in late February. The “last remaining lawyer” at Actblue, Zain Ahmad, suggested he was facing “internal retaliation” and that “his access to email and other internal platforms had been cut off.” The New York Times also reported that his messages in Slack had been deleted.

The New York Times described Ahmad as the “last remaining lawyer” while the House Admin. Committee GOP X account reported that one of the lawyers subpoenaed today was still currently employed by Actblue.

Ukraine’s backers to select non-NATO forces for buffer zone – NBC News

Russia has ruled out a Western military presence in the neighboring country as part of any peace deal

Kiev’s European backers want the US to oversee a buffer zone between Russia and Ukraine in the event of a peace deal, with troops fromnon-NATO countries such as Bangladesh or Saudi Arabia potentially deployed on the ground, NBC News reported Friday, citing anonymous sources.

According to the outlet, Washington’s role would be to use drones, satellites, and other intelligence capabilities to monitor conditions and coordinate with participating nations. Moscow has repeatedly rejected the idea of Western or NATO troops in Ukraine as part of any peace settlement.

Politico previously outlined the same proposal for a buffer zone, suggesting involvement of third-party states but not naming them, andindicating that French and British troops could make up much of the force. A former Pentagon official told the outlet the plan reflected Kiev’s European backers “grasping at straws.”

On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin again stressed Moscow’s opposition, warning that foreign soldiers would either become targets for Russian forces during hostilities or serve no purpose if a genuine peace agreement were reached. He added that “the West’s dragging of Ukraine into NATO was one of the causes of the conflict” and said any settlement would have to include security guarantees for both Russia and Ukraine.

On Tuesday, Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky met with members of the “coalition of the willing,” the group of nations supplying Kiev with weapons and promising security commitments in the event of a resolution with Russia. Most of them have publicly ruled out putting their own forces on the ground.

Meanwhile, Moscow has said it plans to establish its own buffer zone along parts of the border to protect Russian civilians, particularly in Kursk and Bryansk regions. Putin noted in May that Ukrainian forces often target non-military assets, including homes and civilian vehicles such as ambulances and farm equipment, which he said made such measures necessary.
