Qatar Says It Reserves Right To Retaliate Against 'Barbaric' Netanyahu

Qatar has threatened retaliation after Israel's strike on Doha Tuesday which killed five top Hamas officials. Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani in a fresh speech condemned the attack as "state terrorism" on the Gulf country's capital and warned that payback is coming.

He said Qatar reserves the right to retaliate, saying, "We've reached a decisive moment; There should be retaliation from the whole region."

Referencing Israel's Netanyahu at one point in the address, Thani said that "barbaric actions that only reflects one thing: It reflects the barbarism of this person that is leading the region, unfortunately, to a point where we cannot address any situation and we cannot repair anything, and we cannot work within the frameworks of international laws."

The Qatari leader continued of the Israeli prime minister, "He just violates all those international laws" - he said through the translator from the Arabic.

But for all the tough talk, the reality remains that Qatar has long been host to major US military and naval bases, especially Al-Udeid Air Base - the largest US installation in the Middle East, and is the operational regional HQ for US Central Command (CENTCOM).

Top NIH Officials Allege Illegal Retaliation For Raising Concerns

Two former top National Institutes of Health (NIH) officials say other officials illegally retaliated against them for raising concerns about how new leadership conducted themselves regarding vaccines, scientific research, and other areas.

Dr. Jeanne Marrazzo, one of the officials, was director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases until she was placed on leave in the spring.

Marrazzo said in a complaint to the Office of Special Counsel, released on Sept. 4, that she was reassigned in March to the Indian Health Service with no justification and shortly after left without duties or responsibilities.

Marrazzo claims she was reassigned and placed on leave after raising concerns in meetings about how Dr. Matthew Memoli, the NIH’s acting director at the time, and other new leaders were advancing priorities of the Trump administration.

During one meeting on Feb. 20, Marrazzo presented on influenza. She noted in one slide that there had been an abnormally high number of recent deaths among children from influenza in the United States.

Memoli “stated that while a vaccine was ‘fine,’ the number one way to prevent bad outcomes in a respiratory outbreak is to have a healthy population,” according to the complaint.

In another meeting shortly after, that included White House officials, Memoli “reiterated the Administration’s position that vaccines are unnecessary if populations are healthy,” the complaint says.

Dr. Kathleen Neuzil, the former director of the NIH’s Fogarty International Center, was alleged to have interjected to emphasize preventing influenza through vaccination.

In a third meeting, Memoli announced the NIH would stop funding some clinical trials, including trials at Columbia University, which the White House had accused of promoting anti-Semitism, and some foreign projects.

‘Russian’ drones in Polish airspace: What we know so far

Moscow has rejected Warsaw’s accusation that it committed an “act of aggression” against the NATO state

1) What the Russian MOD says

The Russian ministry’s statement stressed that during its overnight operations, “no targets were planned for strikes in the Polish territory,” according to a statement.

“The maximum range of Russian drones that allegedly crossed the Polish border is less than 700km. Nevertheless, we are ready to conduct consultations on the issue with the Polish Defense Ministry.”

The military said Russian forces successfully hit multiple arms production facilities in Western Ukraine.

2) What Poland claims

The Polish Defense Ministry accused Russia of staging an “act of aggression” by flying its drones into Polish airspace, some of which it said were successfully intercepted, calling the situation “unprecedented.”

Prime Minister Donald Tusk told lawmakers at least 19 separate violations took place over seven hours, with up to four aircraft downed by Polish forces. He said the incident stood out due to the number of drones and their arrival from Belarusian rather than Ukrainian airspace.

Tusk noted that the incursion posed no threat to Polish airports, some of which were shut down as the military was responding.

Warsaw has asked for formal consultations with other NATO states under Article 4 of the bloc’s founding treaty.

Poland has yet to provide evidence to support the drones’ identification as Russian, though some local media have published purported images of debris from one of them.

3) EU declares solidarity

Multiple Western officials expressed support for Poland and accused Moscow of provocative behavior.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen denounced what she described as a “reckless and unprecedented violation” of Polish airspace and declared the “full solidarity” of the EU, as she was delivering her annual ‘state of the union’ address before the European Parliament.

Kaja Kallas, the EU’s top diplomat, alleged that “indications suggest [the incident] was intentional, not accidental.”

French President Emmanuel Macron denounced the incursion as “simply unacceptable” and urged Russia “to put an end to this reckless escalation.” British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Moscow conducted an “egregious and unprecedented violation” of Polish airspace.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, a critic of the Western approach to the Ukraine conflict, has likewise expressed solidarity with Poland. However, he declined to blame Russia and argued that the incident “proves that our policy of calling for peace in the Russia-Ukraine war is reasonable and rational.”

Democrat Ruben Gallego Files Legislation to Block Military Funeral Honors for Ashli Babbitt

Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) is hoping to block the Defense Department from offering military funeral honors to Ashli Babbitt, a veteran and January 6 protester shot and killed by a police officer during the protests.

Gallego has attacked the Department of Defense (DOD) for agreeing to provide Babbitt with an honorary military funeral and now hopes to pass legislation that would bar the funeral from being carried out.

Gallego said his bill “comes from a sense of patriotism, you know, as someone who served this country, as someone who unfortunately buried a lot of Marines with full military honors.”

“The idea that they’re giving this to a person who actively tried to overthrow the government, who was violent in nature, who knowingly was entering a restrictive zone while we were trying to conduct the safe passage of democracy, and the idea that they’re just going to give this without a fight, it’s just not going to happen,” he added.

“I’m gonna put people on the record to make sure that we know who stood with your traitor, Ashli Babbitt,” Gallego said.

On Aug. 15, 2025, Under Secretary of the Air Force Matthew Lohmeier announced the decision to grant Babbitt military funeral honors.

In a letter to the Babbitt family posted by Judicial Watch, Lohmeier stated, “After reviewing the circumstances of Ashli’s death, and considering the information that has come forward since then, I am persuaded that the previous determination was incorrect.”

“On behalf of the Secretary of the Air Force, I write to extend the offer for Military Funeral Honors for SrA Ashli Babbitt,” the letter stated.

Gallegos’ resolution claims that Babbitt does not deserve the military funeral because Babbitt “attempted to force her way inside by climbing through the door’s broken window, where a Capitol Police Officer intervened to protect dozens of House members and staff cornered nearby.”

The Fear-Mongering Rackets Of The U.S. National-Security State

Since the end of the Second World War the US National Security state has continuously had to justify it's existence via a slew of invented enemies and false pretexts, and in so doing has become the primary threat to peace at home and abroad.

The end of the Cold War in 1989 provided a fantastic opportunity for a major reset in relations between the American people and the people of Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, and other nations that U.S. officials had long designated as official enemies of the United States. For almost 45 years following the end of World War II, U.S. officials had inculcated a mindset of deep fear among the American people — fear that the Russians, Chinese, and other communist nations were coming to get us.

It was all one great big racket designed to justify the conversion of the U.S. government from our founding governmental structure of a limited-government republic to a national-security state, a type of totalitarian-like governmental structure that wields omnipotent powers, such as the power of engaging in state-sponsored assassinations.

Fear-mongering, propaganda, and indoctrination are central to a national-security state governmental structure. The national-security state must convince the citizenry that there are scary enemies coming to get them so that the citizenry will continue to support and embrace the national-security state governmental structure and the ever-increasing power and taxpayer-funded largess that is necessary to sustain it.

The racket worked almost perfectly. Americans fell for it hook, line, and sinker. “The Russians are coming!” people cried. “The Reds are everywhere!”

One big exception was when President Kennedy achieved a personal “breakthrough” after the Cuban Missile Crisis by recognizing that the Cold War and the anti-communist crusade were nothing more than one great big racket. After he vowed to bring the racket to an end in his Peace Speech at American University in June 1963, the U.S. national-security establishment dealt with him in Dallas five months later.

Thus, the Cold War racket continued all the way until 1989, when the Soviet Union suddenly and unexpectedly dismantled itself. The Berlin Wall came crashing down and West Germany and East Germany recombined into one nation. The Warsaw Pact dissolved, Russian troops withdrew to Russia, and Eastern European countries gained their independence.

It said in a statement on Wednesday evening that it would “increase the pace of strikes” in the densely populated Gaza City, with the intention of “targeting Hamas’ terror infrastructure, disrupting its operational readiness, and reducing the threat to our forces as part of preparations for the next stages” of the offensive.

As part of its preparations, the IDF said it has struck over 360 “terror targets” in Gaza City in recent days, including several high-rise towers that it said were being used by Hamas for various purposes.

The widespread strikes were conducted in three main waves, beginning on Friday with attacks against high-rise buildings where the military said Hamas had installed surveillance equipment and set up sniper and anti-tank missile posts and command centers.

The first wave took place in the Daraj and Tuffah neighborhoods, where the IDF said it hit Hamas observation and sniper posts, a Hamas interrogation facility, tunnel shafts under buildings and weapon depots, among other targets.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s lawyers tell the Jerusalem District Court that the prime minister will not be able to attend today’s scheduled hearing for his testimony in his criminal trial due to the terror attack carried out in Jerusalem this morning.

His attorney Noa Milstein tells the court that “several severe security incidents at several scenes with fatalities” required Netanyahu to “participate in a series of consultations, security updates, [and] make urgent decisions.”

Milstein tells the court that the prime minister “will not be able to arrive for his scheduled testimony in court.”

She adds that if the court agrees an update can be provided to the court at 2 p.m. as to whether Netanyahu could testify between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Netanyahu’s testimony, the first hearing since the courts’ summer recess, was scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. behind closed doors.

Three young men, including IDF soldier, arrested for running sex site blackmail scam

Three young men operated a profile purporting to be a young woman on dating and sex sites, where they would blackmail victims to send them thousands of shekels.

Three young men, including an IDF soldier, were arrested for impersonating young women on sex and dating sites, defrauding dozens of people, blackmailing them, and pocketing thousands of shekels in the process, the Israel Police announced Wednesday.

Cybercrime and fraud police officers in Jerusalem received a complaint from a city resident about an online scam that had swindled him.

The victim explained that he was contacted by a profile of someone who claimed to be a young woman on a website dedicated to dating and sex services. Over the course of their correspondence, the profile suddenly demanded the victim send them thousands of shekels, otherwise they would release his personal information, a practice known as doxing.

This prompted the police to take action, organizing a covert investigation to track down the individuals responsible for creating the profile.

The result was the identification of three young men, one of whom is an active IDF soldier, and the others are residents of the North.

It was then that the police determined that this was not an isolated incident. Rather, the three had been operating this scam to blackmail and extort dozens of victims nationwide.

A nationwide extortion scam

The suspects were recently taken in for questioning by police in Jerusalem under suspicion of a number of crimes, including fraud, blackmail, privacy violations, and more.

The police brought the suspects to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a hearing, with their detention in police custody being extended by several days while the police continue to investigate and find additional victims.

"These are serious offenses of sexual extortion and online fraud, offenses that cause serious harm to the privacy and dignity of the victims," the police said in a statement.

They further called on all who have fallen victim to this scam to reach out to law enforcement without delay, and warned the public to exercise greater caution on social media.

They said it was for order.

They said it was for the good of the nation.

They always say it’s for something good… until it isn’t.

Nearly a quarter-century after 9/11, we are still living with the consequences of fear-driven government power grabs. What began as “temporary” measures for our security have hardened into a permanent architecture of control.

The bipartisan police-state architecture that began with 9/11 has been passed from president to president and party to party, each recycling the same justifications—safety, security, patriotism—to expand its powers at the expense of the citizenry.

So they locked down the country “for our safety.”

They expanded surveillance “for our security.”

They rounded up anyone who challenged the narrative “for the common good.”

They erased names, ideas, and histories “to prevent offense.”

They forced schools to teach only what was politically correct “for the children.”

They censored speech “for our protection.”

They targeted dissenters “to preserve peace.”

They militarized the streets and called it “law and order.”

These very abuses—once denounced when carried out by the Left—are now cheered, defended, and excused when carried out by the Right.

People who once spoke passionately about truth, freedom, and faith have now fallen silent in the face of injustice, or worse, convinced themselves that nothing is wrong. The very voices that should be warning against tyranny are instead excusing it or looking away.

This is the danger of double standards in politics: every tyranny is rationalized in the moment by its chorus of defenders.

But history teaches that what goes around comes around. If you justify it now, you’ll have no defense when the tables turn.

And yet, time and again, the lies we tell ourselves make it possible. The cult of personality. The blind loyalty to party. The belief that “our side” can’t be the villain.

It never ceases to amaze how far people will go to excuse the actions of their favorite tyrant, even when those actions are the very things they once swore to oppose.

The pattern of justifying tyranny is as old as power itself. Every abuse comes wrapped in the same excuse: we had to do it.

After 9/11, Americans were told the Patriot Act and mass surveillance were “necessary to prevent terrorism.” The result was a sprawling security state that tracks every phone call, every online search, every purchase. The justification was security. The cost was freedom.
