ok let me just push back, most of these shows get around what you are talking about by saying they are "news opinion shows" there was some debate about this a few years ago I think with Madcow. The problem is that the news shows and the opinion shows bleed together. Tucker Carlson was technically a news opinion show. So are they the press then? The media is a shit show, and they have done damage but if they are considered opinion shows is that not protected as free speech ?
I think your idea bout getting rid of the ratings for these shows is great another thing is to get all the ads off of them and not be sponsored by astro zenica or some fag shit. So get rid of the ratings get rid of the advertisers and I think I agree also separate networks the problem is news shows turn into opinion shows asa soon as it brings a panel on. But some clever changes could alter things enough where the constitution is not violated and you can preempt that argumentation.
