This is this guy's X today, the guy laughing in video attached when Charlie shot was, he's changing his tune or apologize, doesn't sound an apology to me, WTF??

Losing Charlie Kurk is heavy, and we are still mourning. Trust that I'll be explaining myself very soon, but every lie about me brings me one step closer to becoming very dead and at the hands of the mob. Should I die for hate or entertainment? Truth will satisfy neather appetite. I'm a Father, and I feel the weight of Charlie's loss to his family. I stand for my fallen brothers. We are unequal in risk at this moment, so if I address my actions, it will be after some time. I didn't wish to have my face everywhere, I'm terrified for my family and sad for Charlie's too. I can not bear both. Please pray for Charlie's Family.

(Did anyone cheer, smile and laugh after Charlie got shot, I doubt it except radicals, his explanation makes NO SENSE.)

David

@RtothepowerofX

I promised to talk but only after silence and only to two. I've already secured one, the other will come. I wish I could respond to everything coming in, but it's not possible, so forgive me. There is allot of rage directed at me but I promise you'll understand when I speak and I eagerly await a return to silence. Some are upset because I smile, some because I chear and others because they don't have the information yet.

For everything Charlie represented I was there for him, not for his words. I just wanted to meet him.

Please please please 🙏

I'm not like everyone else and it's not just to judge me by an edited clip. You would not wish it upon yourselves. Please

not at all, he's trying to draw or make up a coverup explanation and who he is. There's no way he is either attempting to apologize or trying to explain himself.

None of it was "I'm sorry Charlie got shot", "but I've got children, and now I'm in more danger than Charlie now, and I'll make up another big fat lie until people stop accusing me of being heartless."

He's trying creative writing, that sounds like absolute bullshit, and "he'll sign off and say, I really don't have to apologize for laughing".

Jack Posobiec: The Overton Window Just Got Assassinated

8:11

Overton window

The Overton window is the range of subjects and arguments politically acceptable to the mainstream population at a given time.[1] It is also known as the window of discourse.[2] The key to the concept is that the window changes over time; it can shift, or shrink or expand.[3]It exemplifies "the slow evolution of societal values and norms".[3]

The term is named after the American policy analyst and former senior vice president at Mackinac Center for Public Policy, Joseph Overton, who proposed that the political viability of an idea depends mainly on whether it falls within an acceptability range, rather than on the individual preferences of politicians using the term or concept.[4][3]According to Overton, the window frames the range of policies that a politician may recommend without appearing too extreme, in order to gain or keep public office given the climate of public opinion at that particular time.[5]

Summary

In the early 1990s, Overton described a spectrum from "more free" to "less free" with regard to governmental intervention, that was oriented vertically on an axis (to avoid comparison with the left-right political spectrum).[6] As the spectrum moves or expands, an idea at a given location on the scale may become more or less politically acceptable. After Overton's death, his Mackinac Center for Public Policy colleague, Joseph Lehman, further developed the idea and named it after Overton.[7]

The political commentator Joshua Treviño has postulated that the six degrees of acceptance of public ideas are roughly:[8]

unthinkable

radical

acceptable

sensible

popular

policy

The Overton window is an approach to identifying the ideas that define the spectrum of acceptability of governmental policies. The premise of the concept Overton defined was that politicians typically act freely only within a window seen as acceptable. Shifting the Overton window would involve proponents of policies outside the window persuading the public to expand the window while proponents of current policies, or similar ones within the window, attempt to convince people that policies outside the status quo should be deemed unacceptable. According to Lehman, who coined the term:

The most common misconception is that lawmakers themselves are in the business of shifting the Overton window. That is absolutely false. Lawmakers are actually in the business of detecting where the window is, and then moving to be in accordance with it.[7]

According to Lehman, the concept is just a description of how ideas work, not about advocacy of extreme policy proposals. In an interview with The New York Times, he said:

It just explains how ideas come in and out of fashion, the same way that gravity explains why something falls to the earth. I can use gravity to drop an anvil on your head, but that would be wrong. I could also use gravity to throw you a life preserver; that would be good.[5]

Use of the shifting scale concept has been adopted as relevant in broader areas; one may also find references to an Overton window applied regarding shifting acceptability in fields without political policy implications.[9]

'I have an indication…we'll let you know about that later'

Bernd Debusmann Jr

Reporting from the White House

At times, Trump's tone seemed to harden even more and he paced back and forth along the lengthy stream of reporters gathered on the lawn.

At one point, he suddenly came so close to me that I was momentarily terrified that I was going to accidentally strike him with the radio microphone pole I was holding just inches from his sternum.

When asked about the investigation and any potential leads, the president gave few details away.

"I have an indication," he said, his eyes narrowing. "But we'll let you know about that later."

He reserved his harshest words for the suspect that remains at large.

"He's an animal. Total animal, and hopefully they'll have him," he told us.

"What he did is disgraceful….what this man did, was disgraceful. Hopefully we'll have him and deal with him appropriately."

At one point, Trump thanked us and walked away, only to abruptly reverse course when he saw a young reporter that works for Turning Point USA - Charlie Kirk's organisation.

"They're great friends of mine," he said of the organisation.

After taking a few more questions on other matters, Trump walked away, quickly entering the helicopter before taking off.

It's possible we may hear from him again tonight - particularly if there are developments in the case.

'He made me think', says Cambridge student who debated Kirk published at 16:53

Cambridge Union/YouTube

A British man who debated Charlie Kirk during his visit to Cambridge University earlier this year says he’s saddened about his murder.

Archie Mackintosh, 23, from Norfolk, debated Kirk and asked him a question about monogamous relationships in society, external.

“My initial reaction, as soon as I heard the news, was a feeling of sadness that he’s gone,” he tells the BBC.

“Despite the fact that I disagree with a lot of his opinions - maybe most of them - he was generally so driven about trying to make the world a better place in his eyes, and he was very promoting of open debate and free speech, which I can get behind. I think it’s nice having people like that in the world to challenge your own ideas.

“I enjoyed debating him because he said things that made me think. If nothing else, I got the impression that he was an incredible father and husband.”
