Notice the ring switches from "ring finger" to "pinky finger" instantly, and there is no sign that Charlie ever put his hand on his lap and fiddled with the ring.

It happened instantly.

So, in addition to the moving red dot and the seemingly inflated shirt, the moving ring has me thinking maybe this is not what it seems.
