If you profess to be a Christian you are. All you have to do is accept Jesus. That’s all. And that’s easy.
The REST is hard— living up to that and being worthy of the gift. We all fall short and many fall shorter than others. You’re right about that part- it’s damn hard.

Non Christians seem to think that accepting Christ must make you as perfect immediately. No- it means you know what He wants you to do and are want to follow Him. Not always that you know how to do it. So we keep in close relationship with Him to work on it.
