A now-deleted X account appears to have had prior knowledge of the brutal assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and subsequently posted a threatening date for President Donald Trump.
Trump was shot during an outdoor speech in Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024.
The account, @TallyHallAlbum, posted an eerily specific “joke” on September 3, declaring it would be “funny if someone like Charlie Kirk got shot on September 10th LMAO.”
Just days after the tragedy, the user followed up with a cryptic reply: “did i” – and then escalated the threat by posting “Donald Trump. December 14th.” before scrubbing the entire profile from existence.
The FBI, under Director Kash Patel, has ramped up its investigation into at least seven suspicious social media accounts that displayed foreknowledge of Kirk’s murder, including this one, according to a report from the Washington Free Beacon. Continue…

Gaza City residents told Al Jazeera they are subject to "heavy, relentless" bombardment - and least 68 people have been killed by Israeli air strikes across Gaza since dawn. Currently, many Arab and Islamic leaders are gathered in the Qatari capital of Doha, where they condemned the new IDF military's push deeper into Gaza City, decrying it as a "cowardly" attack and pronouncing it as "genocide".
Also in Qatar is Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who interestingly after expressing ironclad commitment to Israel, still said: "We have a very short window of time in which a deal can happen," and that extended warfare could "deepen the humanitarian crisis in Gaza." He further declared that "The only thing worse than a war is a protracted one."

The Trudeau government’s controversial Online Streaming Act (Bill C-11) isn’t just a bureaucratic boondoggle — it’s a censorship machine in the making, and Canadians are paying the bill.
According to a new order paper response, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has already spent $15.2 million to set up its framework for the law. That includes $11.9 million in fattened salaries and $3.3 million in operational costs, with $9 million torched in the 2024-25 fiscal year alone.
And it doesn’t stop there. The regulator admits it will need $9.7 million every year going forward to maintain the systems and staff required. In fact, the CRTC has already hired 59 new full-time employees just to enforce this law.
To pay for the ballooning bureaucracy, the CRTC has invoiced streaming services $19.9 million for 2024-25 and $22.9 million for 2025-26. But don’t expect any of that to support Canadian artists. Under the CRTC’s “cost-recovery model,” all of it is swallowed by the regulator itself.

Parliamentary Secretary Yasir Naqvi told the House of Commons that while officials conducted a “preliminary search,” the department does not maintain object codes for those terms.
Naqvi claimed that producing a full list of such projects dating back to 2018 would require a time-consuming manual review and could result in “incomplete and misleading information.”

In a segment aired on Sept. 15, journalist Élisa P. Serret provided her analysis on French CBC’s news channel RDI on why the United States has remained a strong backer of Israel amid war in the Middle East.
“My understanding, and that of many analysts here in the United States, is that it is the Israelis, in fact it is Jews who are heavily involved in financing U.S. politics with Super PACs,” she said, in reference to political action committees (PACs).
“It’s really a big machine behind the scene, so it becomes very difficult for Americans to detach themselves from Israel’s positions,” she added.
“It’s really money [that leads] here in the United States. Big cities are being led by Jews, Hollywood is led by Jews.”

Industry Minister Mélanie Joly says she has not yet seen enough “net benefit” to Canada to allow Vancouver’s Teck Resources Ltd. to merge with UK-based miner Anglo American PLC.
“There have been conversations with the companies, and clearly we wanted to make sure that there would be a net benefit to Canada, but I think right now that it’s not enough,” Joly told reporters on her way to a cabinet meeting in the House of Commons on Sept. 16.
Last week, Teck and Anglo reached an agreement to combine the two companies to form a copper mining powerhouse worth about $70 billion. The companies proposed the deal as a “merger of equals,” and plans include sourcing upper management and board representation roughly equally between the two. The deal would also see company headquarters of what would be known as Anglo Teck move to Vancouver.
Joly said she would like to see longer-term commitments to Canada before approving the deal. She said while it’s important to think about the short term, the long term also need to be considered in determining whether the merger will benefit Canada.
“We need to think about longer term and how we can make sure that ultimately we create jobs, but we have a strong headquarters, not only now, but also for the next decade,” Joly said.

Chrystia Freeland Resigns From Cabinet, Seeks ‘Fresh Challenges’

Transport Minister Chrystia Freeland says she has resigned from cabinet and will not be seeking re-election. The long-time cabinet minister will remain an MP for the rest of her term, and will now serve as special envoy for Ukraine.
Freeland, a former deputy prime minister, minister of finance, and foreign affairs minister under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, made the announcement in a Sept. 16 statement.
Freeland said that she is not leaving her post to spend more time with her family or because of the strain caused by political life. “For me and for my wonderful husband and children, public service has been a privilege and not a sacrifice,” she said.
She added that she is stepping down to make way for others and to pursue other endeavours herself.
“After twelve fulfilling years in public life, I know that now is the right time for me to make way for others and to seek fresh challenges for myself,” Freeland said.
In a statement published shortly after Freeland’s, Prime Minister Mark Carney said she will now serve as Canada’s new Special Representative for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, while keeping her duties as MP. Freeland is of Ukrainian descent and had played a key role steering Canada’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Continue…
