it's OK if a word has more meanings in the future. It's NOT OK if someone tries to use the new meaning and apply it to old laws and old writing.
the definition of a word might change, but the meaning of old texts doesn't change when new meanings are added to the words in the new text.
the left is playful. They redefine words and then conflate the old law with a new idea that they say is 'law' using the new definition in place of the old one.
'marriage' is a good example of one of the words that they did this to.
but new meanings? for an old word? that's common. again: that doesn't change the old meaning as meant in old writings.
