>Every service rifle I own
My M1 Garand is easy.
My '96 Mauser needs a big flat-head screwdriver, and I like to use a padded clamp to hold it while I do it.
>coin or a can opener.
Yeah, but the screwdriver fits perfect.
The heads of the screws (2) are recessed in the stock, so a quarter might mar the wood, but it could be done. Maybe the P-51 can opener would do the trick. P-38 might be too small.
>clearly the bullet ricocheted off the body armor into the neck
people keep saying that. I'm not understanding how that could happen. richochetes don't normally make "S" shaped flight paths. also there's no hole in the front of the shirt.
and where's the vest or plate. I just don't see it.
>They dropped the real shooters body out over the desert
I doubt it. there would be a small but non-zero chance some hiker or off-roader would find it. there are better ways to dispose of bodies, such as industrial chemical processes.
>What if the plan was for Charlie to get shot in the chest plate
So, they were planning to fake an assassination attempt and accidentally really killed him?
That would be really bad planning.
That thing needs to be sterilized to protect the gene pool.
>The shooter was likely going for an almost in front head shot, but the bullet drifted left and down to strike the neck.
Or the shooter didn't account for parallax due to the short range.
