thirtyfive years ago between Santa Cruz and Santa Rosa, i drove through SF several times every week. Often had enough extra time to just wander around the various city blocks and neighborhoods and look around. Back then i NEVER saw the roads and sidwalks so empty. Autos, trucks, work vans, bicycles and pedestrians EVERYWHERE.
This guy is showing all these videos around the bay… and it looks like a freaking ghost town.
I saw several segments he did from the east bay (Oakland and Berkley)… the absence of pedestrians filling the sidewalks is so freaking weird. I first visited the bay in the 80's and moved in and out of the area several times the next twenty years. Always loads of people on the sidewalks and cars filling every roadway.
It is downright unnerving all these vids (also southern California, New York and such)… people are like disappeared from the streets and walkways…
