• At the first press conference, Utah Governor Cox stated that this was 100% a political hit job, without any idea of who the shooter was or their motive.

Ukraine Is Getting More Israeli Radars, Russian Strikes Are Taking Them Out

The Russian military has destroyed three Israeli-made Improved and Enhanced Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar (ieMHR) in the special military operation zone in under a week, raising suspicion that Ukraine had received more of the system.

The ieMHR was developed by Israel’s RADA Electronic Industries to provide hemispheric surveillance. It can operate as a part of counter-drone and short-range air defense systems or operate as a stand-alone counter-rocket, artillery and mortar radar.

The radar, which is built around an active electronically scanned array antenna, has a maximum detection range of up to 100 kilometers for large transport aircraft. It can detect smaller fighter jets from 65 kilometers and medium-sized drones from 45 kilometers. As for projectiles like rockets, artillery and mortars, the detection range is between 10-14 kilometers.

Three videos documenting the destruction of ieMHR radars by the Russian military in the directions of Kharkiv and Donetsk appeared online on September 7, 8 and 12. At least two of the radars were destroyed with first-person view (FPV) suicide drones.

Around two years ago, the Kiev force received at least 16 ieMHR radars from Lithuanian, 12 installed on stationary bases and four on what was described as “high-mobility vehicles.” The radars were reportedly purchased from Israel for more than $14 millions.

Lostarmour.info, a website that documents military losses based on visual evidence, has so far recorded the destruction of five ieMHR in Ukraine, all hit by Russian Lancet loitering munitions. Another four losses caused by FPV suicide drones were seen in footage released by Russia’s Rubikon advanced unmanned technology center just this year.

That’s nine visually confirmed ieMHR losses, not including the latest three hits, or all the other kills documented by the Russian Ministry of Defense and other sources.

In conclusion, it is highly unlikely that any of the 16 original radars supplied by Lithuanian are still operational. Kiev forces are clearly receiving more ieMHR systems, either directly from Israel or indirectly through third countries, just as Lithuanian did. In either case, the approval of Israel is needed for shipping these radars to Ukraine.

It is hard to judge the effectiveness of the ieMHR with no clear data on its operations. However, the fact that most of the radars destroyed in Ukraine were struck by drones indicate that either the system has some issues, or even more likely its operators are not that competent.

A US congressman is introducing a bill that could potentially be used to deny US citizens the right to travel based solely on their speech, including for criticism of Israel, the Intercept reported on 13 September.

Introduced by Florida Congressman Brian Mast, chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the bill would grant Secretary of State Marco Rubio the power to revoke the passports of US citizens in the same way he has revoked the green cards and visas of foreign nationals in the US for criticizing Israel.

In March, Secretary of State Rubio revoked the visa of Turkish doctoral student Rumeysa Ozturk after she wrote an opinion piece critical of Israel in the Tufts University student newspaper in 2024.

The op-ed did not mention Hamas, but called for boycotting and divesting from Israel.

One section of the bill grants the Secretary of State the ability to deny passports to people determined to have “knowingly aided, assisted, abetted, or otherwise provided material support to an organization the Secretary has designated as a foreign terrorist organization.”

The reference to “material support” disturbs civil liberties advocates because it is vague and can be interpreted to include speech and anti-war activism.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which functions as a front for Israeli intelligence in the US, and the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law suggested in a letter last year that Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) was providing “material support” for Hamas by organizing campus protests against Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

The provision regarding material support to terrorism poses a threat specifically to journalists, The Intercept noted.

In 2023, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas demanded a Justice Department “national security investigation” of AP, CNN, The New York Times, and Reuters after they published photos taken by freelance photographers during the Hamas attack on Israeli settlements and military bases on 7 October 2023.

The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and Reuters on Saturday all tried to link Nick Fuentes and Groypers to the Charlie Kirk shooter on the flimsiest of pretexts – all while the authorities were insisting the alleged gunman was "deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology."

The WSJ and NYT argued Fuentes and the Groypers are connected to the accused shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, because there's a random "Groyper" playlist on Spotify that contains a "version" of the song "Bella Ciao" – lyrics from which were allegedly inscribed on one of Robinson's bullets.

Bella Ciao is an old Italian song of unclear origins that became associated with anti-fascists over the years. The song is regularly featured in TikTok videos and has well over 1 billion views on YouTube.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox personally told the WSJ in an exclusive statement, "It's very clear to us and to the investigators that this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology."

Nonetheless, in the next sentence they try to link the shooting to Fuentes.

You could likely pick any public figure out of a hat and find one of their fans has a playlist containing the song, but they only attempted to link Fuentes and the Groypers to the shooting.
