Charlie Kirk was not merely killed; he was executed in broad daylight before thousands of witnesses and millions of screens. A father cut down, a public figure shot in front of a crowd, a scene that should have frozen a nation in shock and sorrow.Yet the most revealing part was not the act itself but the reaction that followed. In offices and classrooms, in hospitals and newsrooms, in homes and online feeds, came not horror but laughter, not grief but glee==. Memes spread. Justifications were offered. Nurses, lawyers, journalists, professors, even the teachers entrusted with children’s minds treated an assassination as a spectacle to be enjoyed.
That response tore away a mask. A country already polarized suddenlysaw something deeper than disagreement. It saw the absence of a moral core. People tried to look into others’ souls and found there was nothing there. They realized they were living among demons.==
This language is not metaphor for its own sake. In a healthy society, murder provokes revulsion regardless of politics. In a healthy society, even the fiercest opponents acknowledge the humanity of the fallen. To watch a man gunned down and feel delight is not a difference of opinion;it is a deformation of the soul. It is, in the truest sense of the word, demonic— not horns and fire, but the hollowing-out of conscience until only spite remains.
For decades, civic leaders have preached unity.“We must heal.” “We must come together.” Such calls presume a sharedmoral substrate, a baseline recognition of human dignity. But the reaction to Kirk’s murder shattered that presumption. There can be no unity with those who celebrate bloodshed. There can be no common ground with people whose first instinct at a killing is to make a joke.One cannot find unity with demons. Demons must be crushed— not with reciprocal violence, but with unyielding moral clarity and the refusal to reward cruelty.
The professions most trusted to uphold decency revealed themselves. Medicine, law, journalism, and education have long wrapped themselves in oaths and codes. Yet in the aftermath of the killing, it was not only anonymous trolls but credentialed elites who laughed, justified, and spread memes.The mask slipped and exposed a generation of zealotswhere guardians of decency were supposed to be.
Nor was it only elites. In neighborhoods across the country, ordinary citizens posted the same memes, typed the same “he had it coming” replies. A culture marinated in nihilism has produced a citizenry for whom the sanctity of life is conditional.When a society’s instinctive reaction to murder is mockery, that society has lost more than civility; it has lost its soul.
Some will insist that social media exaggerates ugliness, that online posts are not “real life.”But the digital sphereis the nervous system of public life. The same people who typed those words return to hospitals, courtrooms, newsrooms, and classrooms.What appears online is the mask slipping off.
Societies that normalize political murder do not remain societies for long. The difference between a free society and a mob is not the absence of violence but the shared recoil from it.Once that recoil dies, nothing remains but tribes and bloodlust— the very environment in which demons thrive.

The lesson is unavoidable: celebration reveals more than disagreement; it reveals deformed souls. One can debate an opponent, even forgive an enemy. But one cannot reason with someone who feels joy at an assassination. That is not politics; that is the void.
Recognizing this is painful, but necessary.It means admitting that many trusted figures— co-workers, neighbors, leaders — havecrossed a line and chosen the void. It means accepting that unity with such people is impossible. Demons do not negotiate. Demons must be crushed — through exposure, isolation, and the rebuilding of a culture where decency is non-negotiable.
Crushing demons does not mean becoming like them.The challenge is to remain human while refusing to grant moral legitimacy to those who cheer at blood.It means rebuilding institutions and communities where life is sacred, where dissent is not a death sentence, where murder is never a punchline.It means refusing to hire, elect, or platform those who have shown their contempt for basic humanity.
Sanitizing what happened is not an option. It must be said plainly: thousands of people celebrated an assassination. Professionals who shape public life revealed themselves as untrustworthy custodians of decency.The mask is off. Only by naming the demons can a society hope to resist them.
The soul of a nation is the sum of millions of individual consciences.When enough consciences go dark, the nation itself becomes monstrous. The assassination of Charlie Kirk was a tragedy; the celebration of it was a revelation. It showed that many have become estranged from the idea of humanity itself.
Demons are defeated not by pretending they do not exist but by refusing to grant them legitimacy. They are defeated by drawing a line and holding it, by telling the truth, by building a culture that rewards compassion and punishes cruelty. They are defeated by citizens who refuse to let their own hearts grow cold.
The murder of Charlie Kirk should have been a moment of national mourning. Instead, it became a moment of moral exposure. The good and decent people in this country now know who lives among it.It knows who has no soul. And it knows that compromise with evil is not possible.We do not negotiate with demons. They must be crushed.

Phil Mickelson is seeing what the rest of us are in the aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
The majority of people have reacted to the shocking moment by showing they have a soul and have expressed a level of sadness that a 31-year-old father and husband was murdered. However, it's impossible to ignore just how many people are celebrating Kirk's assassination, not expressing one ounce of remorse.
Unlike many with similar notoriety and reach, Mickelson isn't just letting hateful rhetoric about Kirk's death pass by, he's calling out the hate on social media.
Among the many hate-filled individuals who have reacted to Kirk's assassination is George Abaraonye, the president of the historic Oxford Union debate society.Abaraonye, who debated Kirk earlier this year,initially reacted to Kirk being killed by writing, "Charlie Kirk got shot, let’s f–king go," on WhatsApp, according to the New York Post.
Another clip of Abaraonye seemingly promoting political violence after Kirk's assassination has since made the rounds on social media as well, and the clip certainly caught the attention of Mickelson. The six-time major champion is hopeful that those who are spreading hateful rhetoric are held accountable.
The current leadership at Oxford Union has moved to distance itself from Abaraonye.
"The Oxford Union would like to unequivocally condemn the reported words and sentiments expressed by the President-Elect, George Abaraonye, with regards to the passing of Charlie Kirk," Oxford Union wrote in a statement released Thursday, per Fox News Digital.
"His reported views do not represent the Oxford Union's current leadership or committee's view. The current administration has, under President Moosa Harraj, no association with, and is entirely independent from, Mr. Abaraonye's administration."
Mickelson shared the following message on X on September 10, the day Kirk's life was taken away:"I never met Charlie Kirk but I am gutted by this atrocity. Open debate is healthy and essential. Free speech is a constitutional right. Violence for disagreeing with someone is sick, deranged, and creates a greater division that becomes harder to overcome."
Charlie Kirk's memorial service has been set for Sunday, September 21, in Glendale, Arizona, and will take place at State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals.

Pensacola vigil for Charlie Kirk marred by mural defacing, fight, pepper spray incident

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — Pensacola's candlelight vigil for Charlie Kirk Sunday evening turned violent when someone spray-painted over the Graffiti Bridge mural of the conservative activist.
Around 6:20 p.m., Pensacola Police responded to the bridge during the vigil after "a fight broke out among individuals and someone sprayed pepper spray."
The man sprayed with pepper spray was transported to the hospital by EMS. Police say the person who sprayed the pepper spray fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
No one has been charged. An investigation is ongoing.
The Pensacola Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident or who may have witnessed the altercation to contact the department at 850-435-1900 or call Crime Stoppers at 850-433-7867.
The vigil attended by hundreds of people continued following the incident. The mural was also re-done to remove the gold spray paint.
"We're supposed to be able to talk and get to a happy medium somewhere, right? That's America," said Scott Yingling, who commissioned the mural.
"That's the country we live in and it's only because we live in this country that we have the freedom to express ourselves. Anywhere else, they kill you.So that's why I did this."
"There was a fire that ignited me the day that he passed away," event organizer Steven Pilgrim said. "I think it's time that we just stand up in a peaceful manner and show the world that we are here to be a beacon of hope and love to others so that they can spread that to other people as well."
Following the vigil, the mural was de-faced again as The Graffiti Bridge posted a picture to social media showing Kirk's face painted over.

Karen Attiah, who has been a columnist at the far-left Washington Post for eleven years, says she was fired over the weekend for — in her words — “Speaking out against political violence, racial double standards, and America’s apathy toward guns.”
Then she says this is really why: “[T]he Post accused my measured Bluesky posts of being ‘unacceptable,’ ‘gross misconduct,’ and of endangering the physical safety of my colleagues … which I reject as completely false.”
Yeah,I’m going to go out on a limb and say I think she was fired for this series of posts, including a fake quote, that justified the public execution of a 31-year-old father and husbandguilty of nothing more than wanting to debate:
Those all came from Attiah’s verified Bluesky account, and the last post, the one about “Black women do not have the brain processing power,” is something made up. Charlie Kirk never said that.

Back in April, Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs canceled Attiah’s “Race and Journalism” course after only a couple of years. She says the course focused on how “socially constructed notions of race and identity shape our view of international relations.” Sounds lame.

Exactly a month ago, Attiah was basically encouraged by the Washington Post to accept a buyout package. She refused. Now she’s fired. Not accepting the buyout cost her nine months’ salary.
“At that time, Attiah was weighing whether to take the newspaper’s voluntary departure package or continue working at the publication owned by Jeff Bezos, the Status newsletter reported,” noted the New York Post.
“During a tense sit-down following her post on X, Attiah chose not to take the buyout,” the New York Post reported in August.
As a great man once said, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”

Report: U.S. Revokes Visa of Brazilian Neurosurgeon Who Celebrated Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

The U.S. has reportedly ordered the revocation of a visa for Brazilian neurosurgeon Ricardo Barbosa after he very publicly celebrated the murder of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
In a post that has since been deleted, Barbosa engaged in a vile public celebration, applauding the shooter’s “impeccable aim,” adding, “cervical spine.”
“Of all the depraved online content I’ve seen, this one may be the most chilling,” Deputy Secretary of State Chris Landau said.
“This is a NEUROSURGEON from Brazil. He not only commends Charlie Kirk’s assassin for his ‘impeccable aim,’ but then with surgical precision specifies ‘cervical spine.’ This is a licensed professional who took the Hippocratic Oath? ‘Into whatsoever houses I enter, I will enter to help the sick, and I will abstain from all intentional wrong-doing and harm,'” Landau exclaimed, revealing he has “personally directed the head of Consular Affairs to revoke his U.S. visa if he has one and to place an alert on him to make sure he never receives one.”
He also urged theBrazilian licensing authorities to take a look into this neurosurgeon who evidently “publicly wishes death on people with whose political views he disagrees.”
The day after the horrific September 10 murder of Kirk,Landau reminded the public that foreigners in America who “glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors”in the United States, referencing some of the vile posts he has seen in the wake of Kirk’s public murder.
As a result of the post, he directed consular officials to “undertake appropriate action” and urged Americans to flag these celebratory comments from foreigners to his office.
“Please feel free to bring such comments by foreigners to my attention so that the @StateDept can protect the American people,” he added.
When asked about revoking the visas of foreigners celebrating Kirk’s murder,President Donald Trump said, “We are looking at names… We wouldn’t celebrate if something happened on their side — and we don’t. These are sick people. These are really deranged people.”
Landau’s plea coincides with that of others, who are urging the firing of teachers and government employees who are gleefully relishing in the murder of an innocent man.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is calling on the Department of Education to slash federal funding to schools employing individuals publicly celebrating Kirk’s murder, and Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) is urging constituents to flag his office on professionals doing this as well.
“If you are aware of anyone in the 6th District of Florida — or heck, anywhere in the state — who works at any level of government, works for an entity that gets money from government (health care, university), or holds a professional license (lawyer, medical professional, teacher) that is publicly celebrating the violence, please contact my office,” he said. ” I will demand their firing, defunding, and license revocation.”

London’s Metropolitan Police have told Nigel Farage that death threats against him online made in response to the assassination of Charlie Kirk aren’t actionable, prompting the political leader to decry “two tier” justice in the United Kingdom.
Brexit pioneer Nigel Farage has revealed the social media posts that cropped up in the aftermath of the assassination of U.S. activist Charlie Kirk last week calling for the Reform UK leader to be “next” are not being treated as criminal by British police, despite their otherwise extremely censorious and active posture on internet activity otherwise.
Speaking at a surprise press conference on Monday morning where he unveiled the highest-priority defection to his party yet, Mr Farage admonished the emergence of “two tier policing and sentencing” in the United Kingdom and said: “…and if you don’t think it’s two-tier have a think about this. On Friday there were some very explicit threats posted on TikTok for me to be killed.
“Pretty sick in the light of what happened with Charlie Kirk, but quite explicit. We’ve been told this morning by the Metropolitan Police that those posts don’t meet the threshold for further action. Kirk was murdered on Wednesday while trying to have an open and respectful dialogue with a student at Utah Valley University. The horrific and gruesome assassination was caught on video and seen by the world, with some members of society shockingly reacting with ghoulish glee.
For millions of people around the world, these reactions to Kirk’s assassination served as a major mask-off and watershed moment, in which the public has been able to see firsthand the shocking depravity and degradation of society, leaving the world completely and totally disturbed over the people they with on earth.

Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Media Buzz,” host Howard Kurtz said the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk “was not a saint.”
Kurtz said, “Whether you like Charlie Kirk or not this is an absolute national tragedy as I said.”
He asked, “Do you think the media, some in the media are politicizing this by blaming the left or liberal lunatics for the actions of someone who is obviously insane?”
Washington Examiner’s Sarah Bedford said, ==“The left does have a radicalization problem that has not been spoken about proportionally in the media as the extremism on the right. And it does exist.
There is violent extremism on both sides. It is not proportionate. And in order to have an honest conversation about what led to this moment, that has to focus in part on the left.” (No there is fucking not violent extremism on both sides, J6 was a scam and you all know it.)
Kurtz said, “I’m glad you mentioned that it’s not unique to one side or one party. Charlie Kirk was not a saint. He said two years ago, it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so we can have the Second Amendment. His murder makes this feel like a very dangerous time.”
