I lost my female rescue cat of 18 years several weeks ago. What a good cat. My house now seems empty. She had an estimated 60% kidney failure at 12 years old but somehow lasted 6 more years. My small dog looks for her every day. She loved to sniff the cat and sit near the cat for hours at a time. My cat was totally indifferent to the dog. The dog was lucky to get a brief glance her her direction.
