During the program on Wednesday, host Joy Behar lamented that “the elephant in the room is that we’re screwed!” as she pointed out that we still have more than three years left in Trump’s presidency.

Wait until she finds out what just happened to Jimmy Kimmel. By the way Joy, you might not want to make jokes about elephants in the room.

Military helicopter crashes near Summit Lake

Law enforcement agencies are responding to a military helicopter crash near Summit Lake, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies located the site of the crash on Wednesday night near the lake, which is approximately 20 minutes west of Olympia and 30 minutes west of Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).

The Thurston County Sheriff's Office said it was "advised that the military lost contact with a helicopter in the area, and we are working closely with JBLM to deploy any resources needed to assist."

Four Hikers in New York’s Catskill Mountains Take Psychedelic Mushrooms, End Up Calling Rangers for Help After Freaking Out

Four hikers who ignored this simple rule of thumb became lost and disoriented in the Catskill Mountains of New York this week after eating some magic mushrooms. They ended up calling for help and were luckily found by rangers.

These folks could have easily become part of the group of human beings who mysteriously go missing every year.

Four hikers who admitted to taking psychedelic mushrooms were rescued in New York’s Catskill Mountains after becoming disoriented and straying off the trail, officials said. It’s the second such case this year in New York’s popular mountain areas.

The group called for help around 5 p.m. on Aug. 29 when one member suffered a “debilitating high,” according to the state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).

Forest rangers and the Pine Hill Fire Department located the group at about 6:45 p.m. – less than 1,000 feet from the marked trail.

The four men are in their 20s and one hiker was in the fetal position and unable to communicate, according to the New York Times.

One hiker was hallucinating about a bridge that did not exist, Forest Ranger Russell Martin told Fox News Digital…

“This was treacherous, steep Catskill terrain and when people intentionally get high like this, it reduces their ability to make good decisions,” Russell said. “Mushrooms are illegal, but whether you’re using marijuana or alcohol, it’s a good idea to make sure you’re with at least one responsible person who is not partaking.”

Hollywood actor and photographer Brad Everett Young has died after a collision on the 134 Freeway. He died of injuries suffered in the collision after his car was struck by a vehicle going in the wrong direction down the high-speed road, his publicist confirmed. The actor died on the scene, while the other driver was hospitalised.

Young was a known face in Hollywood, working on projects behind the camera with Vanity Fair, Vogue, and The Hollywood Reporter. He snapped the likes of David Harbour, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Seth Green, to name a few.

Furious Nina Jankowicz – Biden’s ‘Disinformation Czar’ – Announces Fox News Has Defeated Her in Court

Nina Jankowicz, who was in line to become the Biden administration’s “disinformation czar” under a short-lived plan to create a Disinformation Governance Board, is crying foul after she lost an appeal of a ruling that sent her defamation lawsuit against Fox News to the landfill.

In July of 2024, Jankowicz lost her initial bid to sue Fox News for defamation. She had claimed Fox’s coverage of the 2022 furor over the creation of the board and its subsequent dissolution crossed the line.

“This was a politically motivated lawsuit aimed at silencing free speech and we are pleased with the court’s decision to protect the First Amendment,” Fox News said. at the time, according to NBC News.

On Sept. 12, a three-judge panel of the Third Circuit said the district court got it right.

“Jankowicz’s position — that criticism of government is transformed into actionable defamation when a television program displays an image of a government official or references a government official’s name in the same segment — is precisely the sort of attack on core free expression rights that Sullivan sought to avoid,” the ruling said, referencing the landmark NY Times vs. Sullivan case that raised the bar for libel suits from individuals involved in public affairs.

But Jankowicz said she is right and the judges are wrong.

Calling herself a “disinformation researcher,” Jankowicz posted online that she was “furious” at the loss, claiming the justice system “too often protects offenders instead of victims.”

As noted by Axios, the trial court ruling said 36 of 37 statements Jankowicz contested focused on the board and not her.

U.S. District Court Chief Judge Colm Connolly wrote that a statement by Fox News host Sean Hannity, that “the Board was a ‘department … dedicated to working with the special media giants for the purpose of policing information'” was “not defamatory” because the statement was “not false.”
