The new National Geospatial Intelligence Agency $1.7 Billion facility is the largest federal investment in St. Louis history and could anchor the city’s future as a defense tech hub.

Building an expensive facility in a high crime area. It's only taxpayer money. What could go wrong?

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe says no current plans for Guard deployment; Missouri Senator Josh Hawley defers to Kehoe as questions linger over crime and jail capacity

. . .“I know the governor is talking with the White House about this. I’ll say Missouri voters have been clear they want law and order. They want their neighborhoods to be safe, bottom line. Look at what voters did in the St. Louis area — now under state control,” Hawley said.

As President Trump considers sending the National Guard to St. Louis, Democrat Mayor Cara Spencer says their role should focus on community support and cleanup, not law enforcement.

“. . . First Alert 4 asked Mayor Cara Spencer how the National Guard could help St. Louis.

“I don’t believe the National Guard should be involved in fighting crime. Where the National Guard has been helpful to the city in the past is debris removal. They’ve also been helpful providing leadership throughout our community,” Spencer said. “I believe there have been some positive actions on the part of the Guard in the D.C. area with community cleanups. Those missions would be welcome here and are certainly needed. They would help provide a path to safer communities by cleaning them up.”

First term democratic Mayor, Cara Spencer is a socialist.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is understaffed. Has been for quite some time.

The city garbage collection is not the job of the National Guard!

Mayor Spencer needs to clean that mess up herself. Use that Rams settlement money to resolve the city’s woeful infrastructure (street cave ins, lack of garbage service as well as hiring and retaining more police and firefighters, improving the City’s Correction facilities.)
