Something important that’s being missed with the Jimmy Kimmel saga…

By spreading the vile lie that Charlie was assassinated by MAGA, the implicit message from Kimmel was clear:If you kill a conservative, we will cover for you. We will whitewash the murder because we don’t think conservatives deserve to live. Kill more. Assassinate more. We have your back.

This is evil.

Executives at ABC rightly received a deluge of complaints from affiliates. They asked Kimmel to apologize for lying and he refused, instead vowing to double down. Only then did he get canned.

Networks like ABC, NBC, and CBS enjoy massive taxpayer supported privileges and advantages because they are supposed to contribute to the “public good.” Those privileges come with a responsibility to not knowingly spread harmful lies like the one Kimmel was spreading.

Jimmy Kimmel is not a victim. He’s a liar.

Jimmy Kimmel is not a martyr. Charlie is.

Let’s keep that straight.

NEW: The man who shot up the ABC affiliate in Sacramento following the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel, has been identified as Anibal Hernandez-Santana.

An X account that appears to belong to Hernandez-Santana is full of anti-Trump posts, as reported by Variety.

The man, 64, previously worked as a legislative director for the California Federation of Teachers, the outlet reported.

“The authoritarian oligarchy is now complete. CBS+ caving, big law firms in DC, the subservients FBI and AG, university presidents stepping down, fan boys SCOTUS, public radio, ICE goons. We are going to have to ‘fight like hell’…” the account that appears to belong to him posted in July.

Hernandez-Santana was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, negligent discharge of a firearm, and shooting into an occupied building.

Insane.

Oklahoma Republican Files Bill to Mandate Every Public University in State Erect a ‘Charlie Kirk Memorial Plaza’

Jennifer Bowers Bahney

Sep 19th, 2025, 3:51 pm

An Oklahoma state senator is pushing several pieces of legislation to memorialize slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

State Sen. Shane Jett (R-Shawnee), along with the Oklahoma Freedom Caucus he leads, filed three pieces of legislation meant to honor Kirk that will be taken up by the legislature when it reconvenes in February.

First off, Senate Bill 1188 would designate Kirk’s birthday, Oct. 14, as “Charlie Kirk Free Speech Day” in Oklahoma, in “remembrance of his courage and faith, to honor his extraordinary contributions to American discourse, faith, and freedom, and to commemorate his ultimate sacrifice for these principles.”

A second bill, SB 1187, would require each public university in Oklahoma to designate a “Charlie Kirk Memorial Plaza.” According to The Oklahoman, “the central element of a planned plaza must include a statue of Kirk sitting at a table with an empty seat across from him, or a statue of Kirk and his wife standing and holding their children in their arms.”

In addition, each memorial would include a permanent sign discussing Kirk’s “courage and faith and explaining the significance of Charlie Kirk as a voice of a generation, modern civil rights leader, vocal Christian, martyr for truth and faith, and free speech advocate.”

And finally, Jett’s Senate Concurrent Resolution 13, would require the Oklahoma state legislature to recognize and honor Kirk as “a martyr for truth, faith, and the First Amendment, whose courage in the face of adversity and unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith has left an indelible mark on the soul of our nation.”

Another state Sen. Ally Seifried (R-Claremore) filed her own Senate Resolution to honor “the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, recognizing his example of faith, leadership, and devotion to America’s youth, and reaffirms our shared commitment to the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

The Oklahoman reported, “The proposals floated by Seifried and Jett come after the Oklahoma RepublicanParty State Committee passed a resolution requesting that the Legislature declare Sept. 10, the day Kirk was killed, as a state holiday in memory of the influencer.”

On Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a GOP-backed resolution honoring Kirk, prompting progressive Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to claim that Kirk’s “rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans – far from ‘working tirelessly to promote unity’ as asserted by the majority in this resolution.”

Candace Owens rages after being snubbed from Charlie Kirk memorial speaking roster

06:33 EDT 20 Sep 2025

By VICTORIA CHURCHILL , US POLITICAL REPORTER

The Daily Mail asked right-wing provocateur Candace Owens on Thursday to share details of her relationship with Charlie Kirk, and whether or not she planned to attend or speak at his memorial service in Arizona on Sunday.

Owens alleged earlier this week that billionaire Bill Ackman was angered by Kirk's souring views on Israel and that 'threats were made,' by Ackman weeks before Kirk's death - a story that has triggered fierce backlash and fueled an online rumor mill of conspiracy theories, including that Israel was somehow responsible for Kirk's death.

The rumors got so pervasive that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had to directly deny them on two separate occasions.

Instead of answering the questions via her spokesperson in an email - something previously done by her team just this week - Owens answered, going live on her show Thursday evening, airing an email from the Daily Mail with our request for comment.

The answers were even more compelling than we may have originally hoped.

'This is what we got from Daily Mail,' Owens said, before kicking off her riff.

While answering the Daily Mail's questions, Owens revealed, 'You're right, you got me.'

'I was not invited to speak alongside President Trump, and JD Vance, on the stage with Tucker Carlson at a memorial event.'

'Erika is in full control … I would hope she's in full control, but I don't know because I've been hearing some stories about donors that are pushing things,' Owens also remarked, seemingly disclosing how far removed she is from the planning of Kirk's memorial.

Yet, a few moments later, Owens claimed 'Charlie and I never, for a second, stopped being friends. Ever. Never happened… They can't produce one shred of evidence to that effect.'

Eric Bolling, a former Fox News host, said on an episode of the Patrick Bet David Podcast streamed Wednesday that Kirk had a 'quiet break up' with Candace Owens after she got too 'down the rabbit hole for him.'

'There hasn't been a communication pipeline between the two for many years,' Bolling also stated.

A spokesman for Candace Owens told the Daily Mail on Wednesday that Bolling 'is flat-out lying.'

'The reason that they're doing this is because they want us to stop investigating the death of Charlie Kirk. I am convinced that this is a full-blown fed operation' Owens added.

During another part of her Thursday episode, Owens said that from what she understands, Kirk's memorial is 'being controlled by the White House' and that 'Trump is controlled by Zionists.'

'Why would I be invited by anyone in Trump's Zionist administration, as I am speaking about the topics that I am speaking… It's common sense they're not going to allow me to share the stage,' Owens added.

Daily Mail has reached out to Turning Point USA and the White House for additional comments on Owen's remarks.

Then Owens once more tried to pitch the speaking roster for Kirk's memorial as ultra exclusive, noting that she was not 'one of the five people' speaking Sunday.

Sunday's lineup of speakers is much larger than five people.

Per a graphic posted on the Turning Point USA X account Wednesday, Sunday's lineup includes President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Kirk's widow Mrs. Erika Kirk, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump Jr., Tucker Carlson, Stephen Miller, and Sergio Gor.

Kennedy Jr., Gabbard, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed a packed concert hall at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts last Sunday, as Kirk's supporters from Washington DC and the surrounding states came together to pay their respects to the slain conservative commentator and Turning Point USA founder who was assassinated last week at a speaking event on the campus of Utah Valley University.

The venue for this Sunday's memorial service in Arizona is the State Farm Stadium in Glendale Arizona, home of the Arizona Cardinals NFL football team, with a capacity of over 63,000.

Turning Point USA media personality and host of the Culture Apothecary podcast Alex Clark shared on X Thursday that over 85,000 people had registered to attend.

The helicopter, an MH-60 Black Hawk with four people on board, crashed at about 9 p.m. local time Wednesday, officials said.

The four individuals were servicemembers assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, the U.S Army Special Operations Command said.

These soldiers are the Army's best helicopter pilots and carry out all Special Operations missions for SEAL Team 6 and the Army's Delta Force.

Recovery efforts are continuing, and the names of the four soldiers will not be released "until appropriate," officials said.

A U.S. Army spokesperson said the helicopter was on a "routine training flight" when air traffic controllers lost touch with the aircraft.

Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders had said Thursday that officials located the crash site, but were "unable to continue rescue efforts as the scene is on fire and is starting to overheat their footwear."

Initial reports said the crash may have occurred near Summit Lake, the sheriff's office said.

"We have been advised that the military lost contact with a helicopter in the area, and we are working closely with JBLM to deploy any resources needed to assist," the base's public affairs office said in a social media post.

Who's paying for the White House ballroom and what's in it for them

Updated on: September 19, 2025 / 3:48 PM EDT

Washington — Contribute money to the new White House ballroom President Trump is constructing and, in exchange, donors may be able to choose a Trumpian option: their names etched inside the White House forever. At least that's one option that has been discussed.

Also under consideration: listing donor names on a website, though no final decision has been made.

Multiple companies have pledged to donate $5 million or more for what was projected to be a $200 million addition to the executive mansion, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Mr. Trump has had personal discussions with business executives about chipping in, three of the sources said.

Google, R.J. Reynolds, Booz Allen Hamilton, Lockheed Martin, Palantir and NextEra Energy have donated, and so have firms in the tech, manufacturing, banking and health industries, sources told CBS News.

Lockheed Martin is among the companies that have pledged more than $10 million, according to one of the sources. Company officials declined to confirm the amount, but Jalen Drummond, vice president of corporate affairs at Lockheed Martin said in a statement: "Lockheed Martin is grateful for the opportunity to help bring the President's vision to reality and make this addition to the People's House, a powerful symbol of the American ideals we work to defend every day."

Individuals have also pledged to contribute, including Blackstone Group CEO Stephen Schwarzman.

Meredith O'Rourke, a top political fundraiser for Mr. Trump, is leading the effort, paired with the Trust for the National Mall, an organization that supports the National Park Service. The trust's nonprofit status means donations come with a federal tax write-off.

Representatives at Trust for the National Mall did not reply to requests for comment.

Officials at some companies said the decision to give money was based on a desire to show support for Mr. Trump while backing what they view as a nonpartisan cause — construction of an event space that will outlast the current president.

Construction got underway on the South Lawn earlier this month.

In July, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the 90,000-square-foot annex would be paid for by private donors and the president himself. Mr. Trump committed to disclosing donors' names and said he wasn't looking for contributions from foreign sources.

"I'm paying for it. I'm paying for it," Mr. Trump said Tuesday, predicting that the ballroom could cost $250 million.

A White House official said nearly $200 million has been pledged so far, and fundraising is ongoing.

Potential donors have received a pledge agreement for "The Donald J. Trump Ballroom at the White House." As a businessman, Mr. Trump has made a fortune appending his name to buildings.

The pledge form, which was reviewed by CBS News, gives donors the option to pay in a lump sum or spread their contribution over three installments to be completed by 2027.

In return, donors are eligible for "recognition associated with the White House Ballroom." What form that recognition takes is still being discussed, but several sources said the expectation is that names will be etched in the ballroom's brick or stone.

Donors may also request to remain anonymous.

O'Rourke, Mr. Trump's fundraiser, mingled with top tech industry executives at a White House dinner in early September.Guests included executives from Google, Palantir, Meta, Apple and Alphabet. O'Rourke sat next to Microsoft's CEO.

Mr. Trump talked up the ballroom at the dinner, according to sources close to the matter who requested anonymity. At least one company interpreted Mr. Trump's comments as an appeal for donations.

On Oct. 15, the president will host what's being billed as a "legacy dinner," a fundraiser to "establish the magnificent White House Ballroom," according to an invitation reviewed by CBS News.

=+Private funding of public memorials and buildings is not new to Washington.== The Washington Monument, which was completed in 1885, was partially financed by donations. Most of the funds used to build the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, which was completed in 2011 and sits on the Tidal Basin, came from private sources.

"President Trump is generously donating his time and resources to build a beautiful White House ballroom, a project which past presidents only dreamed about," Leavitt said. "Since announcing this historic plan, the White House has been inundated with calls from generous Americans and American companies wishing to contribute."

How much has the president committed to the ballroom from his personal fortune?

White House officials declined to say.

"That amount has yet to be determined as construction continues," one official said.
