Oh dear. Your blog source didn’t read the Tyndale bible. Nor is it educated enough to use the clarification verses in Matthew. the Hebrew word used means ‘insult or iffense’ not financial debts and this is confirmed in Matthew’s clarification verses that refer to the Lord’s Prayer.

The problem with translations, is it doesn’t always capture the intent if more than one word is close. Many Christian denominations as well as individual Christians are improving this historical translation gaffe in their own, and going with the more correct Tyndale Bible ‘trespasses’.

Not one person thinks it means financial debts, except for atheists who cherry pick for what they think are literal discrepancies without knowing what the rest of the Bible says about its context.

The Bible must be read in aggregate, what you fail to do as you cherry pick through, as it refers to its own self more than 40,000 times for a sum total understanding.
