Two people were injured in Belgorod, Russia on Monday morning after a Ukrainian drone exploded next to the city council building, local officials have said.
Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that a man has suffered facial wounds and a woman has sustained a leg injury from shrapnel.
Mayor Valentin Demidov shared photos from the scene showing debris scattered across the street as first responders worked to secure the area.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it intercepted 114 Ukrainian kamikaze drones overnight, including 19 over Belgorod Region.
Gladkov earlier described the situation in the region as “highly difficult,” reporting three civilian deaths in two separate incidents over the weekend and additional attacks that injured ten people.

Three dead after Ukraine bombs Crimea wellness resort – governor

At least three people were killed and sixteen injured by a Ukrainian drone strike on a wellness complex in Crimea on Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.
A school building was also damaged, according to Crimean regional head Sergey Aksyonov.
The Russian Defense Ministry ministry stated that the attack targeted a “resort area of the Republic of Crimea, where there are no military facilities.”
Aksyonov said emergency services were working at the site and urged residents to “remain calm and trust only official information.”
The drone strike led to a fire at a school in the town of Foros, where the sanatorium is located, according to the regional arm of the Russian emergencies ministry. The 80 square meter fire has now been extinguished, it said.
In the peninsula’s largest city, Sevastopol, regional head Mikhail Razvozhaev reported that the Russian Black Sea fleet and air defenses are defending against a Ukrainian drone attack near the city.
“3 drones have been shot down so far,” he said on Telegram on Sunday.
Ukraine has been increasingly turning to long-range drone attacks for strikes inside Russia in recent months as its forces have been beaten back on the battlefield.
The attacks have targeted Russian energy and civilian infrastructure, killing and injuring dozens of civilians. Moscow has long accused Kiev of deliberately going after Russian civilians and often targeting children.

VIDEO shows aftermath of Ukrainian bomb attack on Crimean school

Ukrainian drones armed with high-explosive warheads have caused severe damage to a school building in the Crimean town of Foros.
According to local education officials, the assembly hall of the school, where more than 200 children study, was completely destroyed and the library was damaged.
Footage from the site showed debris scattered across the courtyard, shattered windows in the library, and torn insulation and ventilation pipes in the ruined auditorium, where chairs lay overturned.
No students were hurt as the attack came on a day off, although a security guard was injured, according to local authorities. His condition has not been disclosed.
Specialists from the Emergencies Ministry have launched an inspection to assess the damage.
Lessons will resume in the coming days, although students will temporarily study remotely, local administration head Yanina Pavlenko said.
The strike also hit a wellness complex in Foros. Crimean Governor Sergey Aksyonov reported that three people were killed and 16 injured in the town in total.
Most of the wounded were said to have sustained shrapnel injuries. It was noted that local residents and visitors, including from Belarus, had been on the Foros shoreline at the time of the attack.
Twelve of the injured have been hospitalized, four of whom are in serious condition. No children were among the victims.
The Russian Defense Ministry said the attack had targeted a resort area “where there are no military facilities,” calling it a “deliberate terrorist attack on civilian targets.”
Ukraine has stepped up long-range drone strikes inside Russia in recent months amid battlefield setbacks.
The attacks have hit energy sites and civilian infrastructure, leaving dozens dead or injured. Moscow has repeatedly accused Kiev of deliberately targeting civilians, including children.
Russia has launched its own long-range drone and missile strikes in response, but the Defense Ministry insists it targets only military sites such as troop positions, weapons depots, and fuel storage facilities.

Kim Jong-un teases ‘secret weapons’

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has hinted that the country has developed “secret weapons” to bolster deterrence against the US and its allies.
In a speech carried by the state-run KCNA news agency on Monday, Kim said Pyongyang must “continuously stockpile even more formidable forces capable of repelling all military threats,” and accused Washington and its allies of destabilizing the region by staging “provocative actions that further escalate tensions” and disregarding North Korea’s security concerns.
To offset the perceived threat, North Korea has “acquired new secret weapons and has achieved a significant number of research achievements in defense science,” Kim said, without elaborating.
He added that Pyongyang also “successfully built a strategic axis for safeguarding maritime sovereignty by producing destroyers capable of performing various maritime military missions.”
His comments come after North Korea said earlier this month it completed the final ground test of a solid-fuel engine intended for the Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile, a weapon that could potentially reach the continental US.
Last week, Kim also oversaw tests of tactical attack drones known as Kumsong and an unmanned strategic reconnaissance aircraft. In March, he observed tests of AI-powered “suicide drones.”
In his speech, Kim also reiterated his criticism of the concept of “phased denuclearization,” stressing that “we will never give up our nuclear weapons,” while noting that North Korea’s nuclear status is a “national law.”
At the same time, he struck a peaceful tone, saying if the US abandons what he called a “vain obsession with denuclearization and acknowledges reality,” the two countries would have an opportunity to forge ties.

Dozens killed in African state’s clashes with opposition

At least 48 people were killed and more than 150 injured in fierce fighting between government forces and opposition fighters in the northeastern border town of Burebiey, South Sudan, local outlet reported on Sunday, citing Upper Nile State Governor James Koang.
According to Eye Radio, the clashes erupted on Saturday morning, when fighters from the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-in-Opposition (SPLM/SPLA-IO) launched an attack on a base belonging to the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF).
Koang reported that the attackers were swiftly repelled. “And now the situation is normal. The report we received is that more than 48 from the IO [SPLM/SPLA-IO] and the White Army were killed, and more than 148 were wounded.
But on the SSPDF side, no deaths; they sustained only four injuries,” the official said.
The governor appealed to residents to remain calm and urged the opposition fighters to cease attacks on SSPDF positions.
The clashes come amid heightened political turmoil after the SPLM-IO called on its supporters to mobilize for “regime change.”
Earlier this week, several outlets cited a statement from the SPLM-IO signed by acting chairman Oyet Nathaniel Pierino and posted on X. The opposition accused President Salva Kiir’s administration of turning the country into a “dictatorship.”
This followed the filing of criminal charges by Justice Minister Ruben Madol against Machar and Petroleum Minister Puot Kang Chol, accusing them of a role in ethnic militia attacks on national forces earlier this year. Both were suspended by presidential decree this month.
Kiir and Machar have shared power under a fragile agreement since the end of South Sudan’s 2013-2018 civil war, a conflict that displaced millions and left an estimated 400,000 dead.
Clashes in South Sudan earlier this year led to the deaths of several government soldiers after a UN helicopter came under fire. The SSPDF are battling the White Army militia, which is composed largely of Nuer fighters, the vice president’s ethnic group.
Machar has since been placed under house arrest on accusations of fueling the conflict.
Ukraine to sell off excess naval drones – Zelensky

Ukraine produces more naval drones than it can use and plans to sell the surplus to other nations, Vladimir Zelensky said on Saturday.
Speaking to journalists, Zelensky described the plan as part of a strategy to ease the country’s budget deficit, noting that Kiev needs additional funds to produce the weapons it requires.
“We have some high-quality weapons systems, some stockpiles and production capacity. Funding the production while we have the budget deficit is stupid. But neither do we want to scale down production,” he said.
Last week, Ukraine’s new underwater drones were presented at a military expo in Lviv. Producer Toloka said its largest 12-meter-long torpedo-like drone could be used to attack the Crimean Bridge – a crucial piece of Russian civilian infrastructure.
Ukraine relies on Western donors to fund government operations. Defense Minister Denis Shmigal has said the country will need at least $120 billion for the military next year.
The proposed 2026 budget projects a deficit exceeding 18% of GDP, which officials hope to cover with foreign aid.
Ukrainian military procurement has been plagued by numerous corruption scandals involving subpar, undelivered, or overpriced weapons.
Kiev now promotes domestic arms production backed by Western investment as a way to meet its weapons needs.
Pro-Ukrainian media claim that local manufacturers have advanced rapidly in drone technology, with more than 200 small firms driving innovation.
Last month, the Kyiv Independent profiled Fire Point, a drone maker whose revenue soared from $4 million in 2023 to more than $100 million in 2024, and which holds government contracts worth billions.
The paper noted that Fire Point – now a major player – was relatively unknown outside the defense sector until this year.
The report cited sources linking the company to Timur Mindich, a former business partner of Zelensky in entertainment, who is reportedly under investigation by the country’s national anticorruption bureau (NABU).
In July, Zelensky sought to limit NABU’s independence but backed down after pressure from Western governments.
However, the senior detective who allegedly was investigating Mindich remains in custody of the Security Service of Ukraine, which reports directly to the president.

Trump issues new pledge to Poland and the Baltics

US President Donald Trump has pledged to defend Poland and the Baltic states in case of Russian aggression, though Moscow has denied that it poses a threat to NATO members.
Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Trump was asked by Italy’s Ansa news agency whether he would “help defend” Poland and the Baltic states “if Russia keeps escalating.” Trump replied: “Yeah, I would. I would.”
Trump’s remark follows unsubstantiated claims by Poland and Estonia that Russia violated their airspace earlier this month.
On Friday, Estonia – a Baltic NATO member – claimed that three Russian fighter jets violated its airspace in what it called an “unprecedented brazen” provocation.
Tallinn requested urgent consultations under NATO’s Article 4, which allows members to seek talks if they believe their security or territorial integrity is threatened.
On September 9, Poland claimed that Russia sent at least 19 drones into its airspace. EU officials, including top diplomat Kaja Kallas, called the incident a “deliberate violation.” NATO responded by sending more aircraft to patrol Polish skies.
Moscow denied both accusations. Regarding Poland, Russian officials suggested that Kiev could have staged a false flag operation to drag NATO into a direct confrontation with Moscow.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the drone claims were fabricated to demonize Russia and derail the Ukraine peace process.
On Saturday, the Defense Ministry in Moscow denied the Estonian claims, saying the jets were on a routine flight from Karelia to Kaliningrad, passing over neutral Baltic Sea waters more than 3km from Estonia’s Vaindloo island “without violating Estonian airspace.”
Since the Ukraine conflict escalated in 2022, Western officials have repeatedly warned that Russia could target EU states.
Earlier this year, Brussels launched a frenzied militarization campaign, while NATO members agreed to raise defense spending to 5% of GDP, both citing the alleged “Russian threat.”
Poland and the Baltic states have been among the loudest voices, pointing to their proximity to Russia.

US nuclear submarine deploys aerial drone in NATO exercise

Submarines from the U.S. and Portuguese navies have conducted joint anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training and operational experimentation during NATO’s Dynamic Messenger/REPMUS 2025 exercises off Portugal.
The Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS New Mexico (SSN 779) and Portuguese diesel-electric NRP Tridente (209PN) trained alongside the frigate NRP Francisco de Almeida (F334) and patrol vessel NRP Setubal (P363).
A highlight of the exercise was USS New Mexico’s deployment of a submarine-launched unmanned aerial system (UAS) in what NATO described as operational experimentation.
Rear Admiral Grabbe, Commander of NATO Submarines, said: “This training and the operational experimentation embody innovation and demonstrate how Allies can integrate submarines with unmanned platforms to achieve operational advantage.”
He added that such cooperation “paves the way for future operations where traditional and emerging technologies must operate seamlessly in high-threat, multi-domain theatres.”
Vice Admiral Robert Gaucher, Commander Submarine Force / Allied Submarine Command, linked the trials directly to protecting critical infrastructure.
“Our commitment to Dynamic Messenger/REPMUS highlights the shared imperative for the U.S. and all our NATO partners to defend the seabed.
By demonstrating interoperability between our platforms, people, and robotic autonomous systems, we build the capability and capacity to share the burden of defending our critical undersea infrastructure.”
Running in tandem, the Portuguese-led Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping with Maritime Unmanned Systems (REPMUS) exercise focused on maritime unmanned systems development and interoperability.
Vice Admiral José Salvado de Figueiredo, Fleet Commander of the Portuguese Navy, said:
“Having the Portuguese submarine NRP Tridente operating with USS New Mexico, participating in the largest NATO/Portugal maritime robotics exercise in the world, Dynamic Messenger/REPMUS, and conducting operational experimentation with unmanned systems, constitutes a relevant milestone in the already long history of the Portuguese Navy Submarine Service.”
Both exercises, NATO said, aim to deliver unmanned systems and capabilities into Allied naval forces with speed and scale.
Lockheed Martin Skunk Works reveals Vectis stealth combat drone

Lockheed Martin has unveiled Vectis, a new stealth combat drone from its Skunk Works advanced programs division, designed to fly as an unmanned wingman alongside today’s F-35 and F-22 fighters and future generations of fighter aircraft.
In its September 21 announcement, Lockheed described Vectis as a “Group 5, multi-mission system” intended to operate in parallel with US and allied air forces.
Lockheed characterized the aircraft as offering “best in CCA class survivability,” a reference to the U.S. Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft program, which seeks to add affordable uncrewed systems to support fifth-generation fighters.
Lockheed emphasized that Vectis was conceived at what it calls a “CCA price point,” suggesting the drone will cost far less to buy and operate than a manned fighter while still carrying stealth features and advanced systems.
The company said it plans to have the Vectis prototype in the air by 2027.
Although Lockheed said it did not design Vectis for any specific military competition, the rollout shows how closely it aligns with the Air Force’s evolving requirements.
By building to the Pentagon’s Group 5 standard — the largest and most capable category of drones — Lockheed is positioning Vectis to operate in contested environments and carry out a wide range of missions.
The company listed potential roles including air-to-air combat, strike, intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare.
Lockheed also pointed to an open systems architecture that would allow Vectis to carry sensors, weapons, and communications equipment from outside suppliers.
The company argues that this flexibility will make the aircraft more attractive to U.S. forces and allied militaries seeking tailored solutions.
Development work has already begun. “Prototype parts are ordered, the team is in work, and we intend to fly in the next two years,” Lockheed said in a statement.
The company also emphasized ease of maintenance, saying it designed Vectis as a “daily flyer” with accessible internal systems and durable materials suitable for deployed environments.
Vectis represents the latest in a long line of advanced projects from Skunk Works, Lockheed’s development arm responsible for some of the most notable military aircraft of the past eight decades.
Founded during World War II under engineer Clarence “Kelly” Johnson, Skunk Works gained fame almost immediately with the rapid development of the P-80 Shooting Star, America’s first operational jet fighter.
In the 1950s it produced the U-2 reconnaissance aircraft, which flew at altitudes no enemy fighter could reach and played a pivotal role during the Cold War, including the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The division followed with the SR-71 Blackbird, the Mach 3 spy plane that still holds speed and altitude records more than half a century later.
In the 1970s Skunk Works pioneered stealth technology with the F-117 Nighthawk, the first operational aircraft designed to evade radar detection, which the U.S. Air Force used extensively in the Gulf War.
The group went on to design the F-22 Raptor, America’s first fifth-generation fighter, and played a major role in developing the F-35 Lightning II, which has become the backbone of U.S. and allied tactical air forces.
Alongside these headline projects, Skunk Works has conducted numerous classified programs and technology demonstrations that never became household names but helped define modern air combat.
That heritage of secrecy, innovation, and rapid prototyping sets the stage for Vectis, which Lockheed now promotes as its next step in uncrewed combat aviation.

Israeli drone strikes kill five in southern Lebanon

An Israeli drone strike killed five people, reportedly including three children, in the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil on Sunday, Lebanon's health ministry said.
Israel has frequently targeted what it calls Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon despite a US-brokered truce between Lebanon and Israel which took effect in November following more than a year of conflict sparked by war in Gaza.
Lebanon's state news agency said the strike hit a motorbike and a vehicle, wounding two others.
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said in a statement that a father and his three children were among the dead, with the mother wounded. He said they held US citizenship.
"While the situation is fluid, so far, indications are that the five killed were not US citizens. In fact, one had an unused immigrant visa petition in the past," a US State Department spokesperson said.
Several uninvolved civilians were killed in Hezbollah hit
The Israeli military said it killed a Hezbollah member in the strike but that "several uninvolved civilians were killed."
"The IDF regrets any harm to uninvolved individuals and operates to minimize harm as much as possible. The incident is under review," it said in a statement.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, in a post on X, described the attack as a "blatant crime against civilians and a message of intimidation aimed at our people returning to their villages in the south."
Lebanon is under pressure from the United States, Saudi Arabia and Hezbollah's domestic rivals to disarm the Iranian-backed group.
Hezbollah has said it would be a serious misstep even to discuss disarmament while Israel is continuing airstrikes on Lebanon and occupying swaths of territory in its south.

IDF kills deputy Hamas naval police commander as Gaza battles rage on multiple fronts

The IDF said Monday it killed the deputy commander of Hamas’ naval police, Iyad Abu Yusuf, in a precision strike in central Gaza, as heavy fighting continued across the strip under Operation Gideon’s Chariots II.
According to the IDF, the 162nd Division struck the Gaza City building from which terrorists launched two rockets at Ashdod on Sunday.
The attack, carried out by the 215th Fire Brigade, also eliminated about 15 Hamas terrorists near Israeli troops and destroyed military infrastructure.
The 98th Division forces are also operating in Gaza City, conducting raids and eliminating terrorists.
The IDF said an airstrike guided by division fire control units hit a weapons production facility, while another strike killed a terror cell that posed an immediate threat to troops.
The IDF said the targeted killing of Abu Yusuf was carried out with intelligence support from the navy and the military Intelligence Directorate.
Abu Yusuf, it said, took part in the October 7 Hamas assault, planned ambushes against IDF forces and oversaw the protection of Hamas assets in Gaza.
“His elimination is a significant blow to Hamas’ naval police, which gathers intelligence on our forces and enforces maritime control on behalf of Hamas’ military wing,” the IDF spokesperson said.
Since the launch of Operation Gideon’s Chariots II, the Israeli navy has focused on dismantling Hamas’ naval police infrastructure and personnel, working in close coordination with maneuvering ground forces and the air force.
“Fighters from the navy’s 916th Flotilla are a key component in the ground maneuver in Gaza,” the IDF said. “They provide fire support from the sea and help close operational circles quickly with assets from sea, air and land.”

Nearly 80% of Russians believe in aliens – poll

A new survey has found that nearly eight in ten Russians (79%) believe in the existence of intelligent life beyond Earth and many are open to the idea that aliens may already be among us.
The poll was conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTSIOM).
Older respondents were more likely to accept the idea that such beings may already be present on Earth, while younger people expressed greater skepticism.
A belief in extraterrestrial life was also slightly more common among men at 83%, versus 76% of women.
Nearly half of those surveyed (46%) believe alien visitors may be secretly observing Earth while concealing their presence from humanity.
When asked how they would feel if it were confirmed that humans are not alone in the universe, 77% said they would be “curious.” Others reported feeling “anxiety” (30%) or “hope” (15%).
As for what aliens might do if they arrived on Earth, the majority of respondents said they would likely merely observe rather than invade: 6
1% think they would simply watch humans, 19% believe they would try to establish friendly relations, and 10% fear they might attempt to seize control of the planet.
Respondents were also asked which books they would recommend to alien guests to help them understand humanity.
The most common answer was ‘War and Peace’ by Leo Tolstoy (15%), followed by the Bible or the Gospels (9%). ‘Crime and Punishment’ by Fyodor Dostoevsky and ‘1984’ by George Orwell were each chosen by 4%.
The survey included 1,606 Russians aged 18 and older. It was conducted online using a representative sample of participants selected by the research center.
The margin of error does not exceed 2.5%, meaning the results are considered accurate within that range 95% of the time, according to VTSIOM.

Maduro account removed from YouTube

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s YouTube channel has vanished from the platform amid escalating tensions between Caracas and Washington.
According to state-run broadcaster Telesur, the channel went offline on Friday. It has since disappeared from search results and is now inaccessible even via direct link.
“This page is unavailable,” reads the message where Maduro’s channel once appeared.
YouTube’s parent company, US-based Google, has not commented on the removal. Maduro’s channel, with over 233,000 subscribers, mainly featured his speeches and weekly TV show.
YouTube says accounts are removed for “repeated violations” such as misinformation, hate speech, or interfering with “democratic processes.” Caracas has yet to comment on the takedown.
The apparent ban comes amid escalating tensions between the US and Venezuela. Relations soured when Washington refused to recognize Maduro’s reelection, but the rift widened with the recent deployment of American warships and fighter jets to the Southern Caribbean. Last month, the US sent at least eight Navy vessels, an attack submarine, and about 4,000 troops near Venezuela’s coast, saying the mission targeted drug cartels.
Washington claimed the armada sank three Venezuelan boats but offered no proof those on board were criminals.
Venezuelan officials denounced the deployment as an assault on sovereignty and a plot to topple Maduro.
Earlier this month, Maduro sent a letter to Trump, insisting Venezuela had dismantled trafficking networks and major drug gangs.
He dismissed reports to the contrary as fake news and offered to hold direct talks with Washington on the issue.
“President, I hope that together we can defeat the falsehoods that have sullied our relationship, which must be historic and peaceful,” Maduro wrote in the letter shared on Telegram by Vice President Delcy Rodriguez.
Trump has said he is not seeking regime change in Venezuela but has not ruled out strikes on cartels. Last month, his administration doubled the reward for Maduro’s arrest to $50 million over a 2020 New York indictment accusing him of conspiring to traffic cocaine, charges he called a coup plot. Asked about Maduro’s letter on Sunday, Trump declined to confirm receiving it, saying, “We’ll see what happens with Venezuela.”

Union Pacific Train and Kinder Morgan Pipeline Fire Details
The incident involved a Union Pacific Railroad train traveling through Laramie County and a ruptured natural gas pipeline, according to reports.
The pipeline caught fire near rail cars carrying hazardous materials close to mile marker 350 on Interstate 80.
This fire was seen 60 miles away from the original scene.
Union Pacific representatives confirmed to officials that it was the Kinder Morgan Pipeline and that the train was about 40 feet from the rupture.
Officials did confirm that the fire was under control by 9:00 AM Sunday (September 21) morning. Luckily no one was injured because of this incident.
Union Pacific Railroad and the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the case going forward.

Over the last weeks, the internet and TikTok have gone crazy over an alleged alien meteorite discovered in Panama.
The story, posted by TikTok user @kinpanama, shows a rocklike object from which a strange, gelatinous substance appears to grow and evolve into a creature resembling something straight out of a science-fiction movie.
Viewers have offered a range of explanations: some suggested it could be polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), a type of silicone polymer; others proposed graphite oxide or even a wormwood plant.
Despite numerous attempts to convince the public that the phenomenon is fake, users remain captivated. Many admit that even if it is fabricated, it is too entertaining to ignore.
“If this is fake, he deserves a production studio,” one TikTok commenter wrote. Whatever the truth may be, no one seems ready to be definitively swayed by yet another digital explanation of what the eyes see and the mind wants to believe from thousands of kilometers away.
What matters here is not the literal existence of the creature, but the way @kinpanama framed and presented the story — and, in reality, that has been clear from the start.
The user behind the viral Panama alien TikTok content has a clear message
In his latest videos, the Panama-based creator says he has abandoned the alien, nicknamed K-25 — possibly a reference to his name, Kin, and his possible age, 25 — in a natural park.
“New home, don’t be sad, K25 is alive 👾 #K25 as long as you think of him. Metropolitan Natural Park, go visit,” he writes, urging followers to visit the creature’s “new home.”
In earlier messages, he reflects on humanity and the planet: “Why say that he will destroy the planet? We are already doing it ourselves.
K25 now lives in a military bunker 👾 I miss him.” and “Escaping to breathe fresh air and see the things God created. Everything has its end.”
In one video, he even pleads: “Don’t damage the planet.”
Before the alien arc, @kinpanama’s content focused on two themes: short clips of himself with his dog or exploring the Panamanian outdoors, which he clearly enjoys.
Just days before posting the meteorite videos, he shared a clip highlighting pollution and environmental neglect in Panama, captioned: “Panamanian, be aware of what you are doing,” showing a small stream covered in trash.
Perhaps here lies the answer that no online proof or counterproof can definitively provide.
While the creature itself may seem imaginary and irrational, the motivation behind @kinpanama’s project appears clear: raising environmental awareness.
Why fear imagined or fabricated creatures when humanity is actively destroying the planet that has sustained it?
Why focus so much energy on a virtual being when the world around us is full of real, threatened, wonders?

Today, the message of environmental protection may ring hollow for some. Too much repetition and media hype, too many causes hijacked for personal gain: power, money.
Nevertheless, the issue remains. On the other hand, interest in aliens and extraterrestrials is exploding, with UFO sightings reported more and more every day.
And, as always in human history, people tend to focus on imaginary or impossible-to-prove topics rather than on real problems. And perhaps that’s what kinpanama sensed.
By showcasing an extremely realistic creature—Not realistic enough to attract the attention of scientific authorities, but convincing enough to generate a base of believers and followers—he could drive a huge audience to his channel and, in some way, subtly spread his message about what seems to matter to him, judging by his own content.
People see what they want to see
As for whether the creature is actually an alien, all signs point to no.
Early inconsistencies in the story strongly suggest it is the work of a talented young creator, skilled in chemistry and nature, who understands how to exploit people’s incredible capacity to immerse themselves in imaginary worlds rather than confront uncomfortable reality.
For such is the nature of man: consciously or unconsciously creating distractions to escape, challenge, or confront the harsh truths of life that often do not meet our expectations — or are simply too difficult to face.
The growing fascination with alien life perfectly reflects this tendency, as people project onto it the hope that extraterrestrials will either doom us for our ways (destroying the planet and ourselves) or save us as a prophetic figure might.
Others simply take it as entertainment, like everything else — from politics to the economy — a symptom of a society governed by forces over which ordinary people can hardly hope to exert influence or make decisions, choosing instead to enjoy life as best they can.
Regarding @kinpanama, as with everything in life, his motivations might have been multiple: boredom, craving social media clout, but also this genuine dedication to nature and the environment.
The way he developed the story is not something just anyone could or would do. Too much effort, too much staging to be simply the product of boredom or a desire for virtual fame.
In any case, the Panama alien is an interesting one, a clear reflection of the world we live in, where everyone sees what they want to see and hears what they want to hear.

On 13 February 2023, a blazing fireball lit up the skies over northern France, startling residents and sparking questions across social media. The event occurred near the Normandy region and was visible as far as southern England.
Eyewitnesses reported a sudden burst of light accompanied by a low rumble, with some fearing it could be linked to an alien invasion or a breach in European airspace.
Scientists, however, have confirmed that the fireball was caused by a small asteroid, officially named 2023 CX1, entering Earth's atmosphere.
What Exactly Happened in the Skies Above France
The asteroid 2023 CX1, also known as SAR 2667, entered the atmosphere at high speed and produced a dramatic fireball in the night sky. Measuring around 0.7 to 1 metre across and weighing roughly 650 kilograms, it was first detected about seven hours before impact.
This made it one of the rare meteor events to be predicted in advance. Emergency services in France received multiple calls from concerned residents who witnessed the flash. Despite the spectacle, no injuries or significant damage were reported on the ground.
