sorry baker, that is the biggest bs title in a while, vast swaths of this country have fallen under communist/socialist control, 80% of people who work are wage slaves, taxes are out of control, and almost every person who is supposed to represent us is ineffectual at best and corrupt at worst. pride in is something you feel for something that is good, helps your fellow man, and has a moral compass that moves everyone toward a better life. nothing about this country has done that during my lifetime and in fact everything officially done by this country has done exactly the opposite. Outside the ideals set forth by the founding fathers, this husk of a nation has nothing to be proud of and a huge amount of work ahead of it to live up to the promise of freedom. nothing short of a spiritual awaking gives any hope of this country turning around, so praying for that would be better than pride in the fallen mess we have inherited and contributed to. pride in the country as it stands is on the same level as pride in your support of LGBTQ bs.
