FBI Fires 15 Agents Who Knelt At 2020 George Floyd Protest

When photographs were published that showed a large group of agents taking a knee as they pandered to protesters in Washington, controversy erupted both inside and outside the FBI. Beyond the political dynamic, some senior FBI officials felt that the agents put themselves and peers at a tactical disadvantage. Here's how retired FBI supervisory special agent James Gagliano summed up the ugly spectacle:

[There are] two possible, equally repugnant purposes behind the kneelers’ actions. The symbolic genuflection in the face of protesters (and the movement’s rioters who destroyed businesses and government buildings and claimed lives) was either an expression of unity with BLM, or these armed agents were blatant cowards and spinelessly acquiesced to the demands of a threatening mob. Whichever the reason, it is fully nauseating to career agents.

During the Biden administration and under then-Director Christopher Wray, the incident was reviewed with a conclusion that no policies had been violated. This year, the bureau decided to give it a second look. As a result, the agents were first reassigned to jobs that were perceived as demotions, but have now been jettisoned altogether.

In August, two senior FBI officials were fired: Brian Driscoll, who served as acting director before Kash Patel's confirmation, and Steve Jensen, who was acting director of the Washington Field Office (WFO). Both have sued, claiming they were victimized by a "campaign of retribution" targeting agents insufficiently loyal to President Trump. There may be many more terminations to come. The DOJ has said it is scrutinizing the actions of more than 1,500 agents involved in investigations of questionable merit, such as the prosecutions of members of Trump's first administration and the extraordinary effort mounted against participants in the January 6 riots.

This week, it was revealed that the FBI deployed a stunning 274 agents to the U.S. Capitol on Jan 6. The news was broken by Just The News, which obtained an after-action report that included rank-and-file agents' sharp criticism of the bureau in general and the Washington Field Office in particular. As one agent wrote, "WFO is a hopelessly broken office that's more concerned about wearing masks and recruiting preferred racial/sexual groups than catching actual bad guys."

The FBI Agents Association condemned the dismissals and criticized Patel's job performance. "Rather than providing these agents with fair treatment and due process, Patel chose to again violate the law by ignoring these agents’ constitutional and legal rights instead of following the requisite process," the group said in a statement. Iran Intelligence Ministry Unveils Details about Israel’s Classified Nuclear, Military Documents

Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib announced in a televised documentary that the country’s intelligence ministry had obtained a vast cache of classified Israeli documents that exposed details of Israel’s nuclear and military programs.

According to Khatib, the files include the full names, personal details, addresses, and professional links of 189 nuclear and military specialists tied to Israel’s weapons projects.

The Iranian minister said the list is still being expanded as Iranian analysts continue to process the material, Press TV reported.

The details were revealed in a documentary named “Spider’s Lair,” broadcast Wednesday night on Iran’s national television.

The minister said the feature presentation describes how the Iranian intelligence apparatus obtained the cache of information, including a list of researchers, scientists, and senior managers of weapons projects, among them American and European scientists involved in related programs.

He said Iranian intelligence operatives carried out one of the most complex multilayered operations, penetrated deep into the hidden vaults of the regime and obtained its secret information in nuclear, military, intelligence, and scientific fields.

Khatib said the trove also contains precise information on sensitive dual-use military and scientific sites.

“In addition, there are documents showing official influence exerted by Israeli officials and American senators on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and their receipt of information about our peaceful nuclear program.”

The minister said during the 12-day conflict of June, some of these facilities were targeted by Iranian missile units after their coordinates were extracted from the documents.

Khatib said the disclosure was only a fraction of the material obtained.

In June, Iran carried out multiple missile strikes on the regime’s sensitive military and nuclear sites, including the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, one of Israel’s premier scientific and research hubs.

UK police detain George Galloway on return from Russia

The veteran politician has been briefly held at Gatwick airport under the Terrorism Act

George Galloway was temporarily detained at Gatwick Airport under the Terrorism Act upon his return from Russia on Saturday, according to his Workers Party of Britain.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command stopped the 71-year-old former MP, along with his wife. The police have acknowledged an incident, but have not confirmed that Galloway was the man detained.

“We can confirm that on Saturday, 27 September counter-terrorism officers at Gatwick Airport stopped a man in his 70s and a woman in her 40s under Schedule 3 of the Counter Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019. Neither of them were arrested and they were allowed on their way,” a Met spokesperson stated.

The Workers Party of Britain confirmed in a post on X that their leader and his wife were detained, branding the incident a “politically motivated intimidation” attempt. The party said it received no immediate “information on charges or alleged offences.”

Schedule 3, cited by the police, allows border officers to stop, question and detain individuals arriving in the country for the purpose of determining whether they have been engaged in “hostile activity” of any sort.

Iran and Russia sign $25bn nuclear plant deal

The agreement covers the construction of four new power facilities, IRNA news agency has reported

Iran has signed a $25 billion agreement with Russia’s state energy corporation Rosatom to construct four nuclear power plants, Tehran’s IRNA news agency reported on Friday.

The agreement was concluded on Wednesday at the Atom Expo 2025 exhibition in Moscow. Rosatom described the project as “strategic.”

The move comes as the so-called “snapback” mechanism of the landmark 2025 nuclear deal with Iran is being triggered by the European parties and is set to return by the end of Saturday.

Britain, France and Germany initiated the sanctions last month, accusing Iran of failing to adhere to its commitments under the agreement. Russia and China have opposed the sanctions.

Moscow’s UN envoy has stated that Russia does not recognize the snapback procedure as legal.

The news agency reported that the Generation III plants will be built on a 500-hectare site in the Sirik region of southeastern Hormozgan province and are expected to produce 5,000 megawatts of electricity.

The deal was struck between Rosatom chief Alexei Likhachev and Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization head Mohammad Eslami, with officials saying it shows the two countries’ commitment to “peaceful nuclear cooperation.”

Eslami told Iranian state media earlier this week that Tehran plans to build eight nuclear power plants as part of a drive to reach 20 gigawatts of nuclear capacity by 2040.

Iran, which suffers periodic power shortages during peak demand, currently operates a single nuclear power plant in the southern city of Bushehr. Also built by Russia, the facility has a capacity of 1 gigawatt.

Moscow has close relations with Tehran and condemned the US and Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in June.

Israel claimed that Iran was on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons, but Tehran said it never had such intention.

Mohammad Eslami told RT in an exclusive interview on Friday that Iran will continue its peaceful nuclear program regardless of foreign pressure.

Trump Authorizes Troops to Protect Portland ICE Facilities from Antifa

President Donald Trump has authorized the use of troops to protect Portland, Oregon, and any Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities that are “under siege from attack by Antifa.”

Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday morning to announce the action, which comes at Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s request.

“At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists,” Trump wrote.

He emphasized that he is “authorizing Full Force, if necessary.”

Trump designated Antifa a terrorist organization on Monday with an executive order on the heels of the assassination of Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk on September 10.

One inscription of an unfired shell casing of accused Kirk Assassin, Tyler Robinson, read, “O Bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao,” per Gov. Spencer Cox (R-UT), an apparent reference to the Italian song “Bella Ciao” idolized in Antifa circles. Another casing inscription read, “Hey Fascist! Catch!” per Cox.

During an executive order signing event on Thursday, Vice President JD Vance highlighted a violent anti-ICE riot in Portland over the Summer that led to the siege of an ICE building.

“I believe it was in Oregon where you had a federal building where there were men in black ski masks who were committing acts of violence, who were shutting down a government building,” Vance said.

“These are paid people. This is organized,” Vance added. “They’re committing acts of political terrorism on American soil, and it’s time we had a government that looked out for the American people rather than the people who are committing violence against the American people.”

Trump indicated the federal government would soon be stepping into Portland to restore order.

“These are crazy people, and they’re trying to burn down buildings, including federal buildings,” Trump said.

“But we’re going to get out there, and we’re going to do a pretty big number on those people in Portland that are doing that. They’re professional agitators and anarchists. They’re actually anarchists,” he went on to add.
