Signal man conveniently places himself near Charlie and flexes his arm like he's getting ready for action. Looks over to brown shirt guy and places hand on his left sleeve to give the go signal.
Just as Charlie lowers his handheld mic, brown shirt gleefully remote activates the lavaliere compressed air projectile. Possibly, a remote gunshot device is triggered simultaneously to support the sniper ruse.
Without hesitation, signal man jumps on Charlie like he already knew what was going to happen.
