The current governor of Oregon is Tina Kotek, who assumed office on January 9, 2023, as the 39th governor of the state.
A member of the Democratic Party, Kotek previously served as the 67th Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives from 2013 to 2022 and as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives from the 44th district from 2007 to 2022.
She is the first openly lesbian woman elected governor of Oregon and the third woman to hold the office.

We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.

We think this would be a step towards mass surveillance and digital control, and that no one should be forced to register with a state-controlled ID system. We oppose the creation of any national ID system.
ID cards were scrapped in 2010, in our view for good reason.
