This is them being stupid as usual… it is sad but a lot of ancient artifacts are lost this way this is not unique in this way.
Are you some what of a specialist of this type of thing.
To me it looks in far to good or shape is all for it to be this old. It is possible I guess but with out look king at it in person I say it is fake and not real just from this.
They if this old are not in styles like this actually it would be thinner and not as consistent all the way though they normally did not make rounded heads of this type and they would normally have decorated it in some type or engraving.
That is just my thoughts on it as well is what is the stone as that makes no sense as well too.
