>On March 7, 2017, Organization-1 released on the Internet classified national defense material belonging to the CIA (the “Classified Information”). In 2016, SCHULTE, who was then employed by the CIA, stole the Classified Information from a computer network at the CIA and later transmitted it to Organization-1. SCHULTE also intentionally caused damage without authorization to a CIA computer system by granting himself unauthorized access to the system, deleting records of his activities, and denying others access to the system. SCHULTE subsequently made material false statements to FBI agents concerning his conduct at the CIA.

The Encrypted Container with the child pornography files was identified by FBI computer scientists beneath three layers of password protection on the Personal Computer. I'm not buying that child porn bit. It's the oldest frame up in the book. And besides, with Schulte's skill I doubt he would be that dumb to have that stuff just hanging around like that.

Federal investigators suspect a former CIA employer is responsible for giving top-secret CIA documents to Wikileaks last year, resulting in the agency’s biggest leak of classified information.

Joshua Adam Schulte, 30, was arrested last August—not for the leak, but on child pornography charges, after he was accused of taking photos of a "passed-out" friend as he sexually assaulted her on his bathroom floor.

On Tuesday, The Washington Post reported that officials also suspected Schulte had provided Wikileaks with massive amounts of data in the “Vault 7 Leak,” which was published by the international organization last March.

Joshua Schulte uploaded CIA code to a personal website linked to his real name, archived versions of the site show.

A former CIA intelligence officer who is suspected by the government of leaking classified information to WikiLeaks appears to have uploaded at least some CIA-related source code to a personal website linked to his real name, files reviewed by Motherboard show. For years, the site was available to anyone on the internet and the server that hosted it was seized by the government in an ongoing child pornography case against him.

Upon President Donald Trump's firing Preet Bharara as U.S. Attorney, Trump reportedly interviewed Berman among other candidates for the position. On January 3, 2018, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Berman's appointment as U.S. Attorney, along with sixteen other former prosecutors, to serve in various offices around the country on an interim basis until the Senate can permanently confirm them. The Trump Administration never nominated Berman or most of the other interim appointments. On April 25, 2018, the Chief Judge of the Southern District of New York entered an order formally on behalf of a unanimous court appointing Berman United States Attorney pursuant to its authority under 28 U.S.C Section 546(d). Berman has the appointment indefinitely until someone is nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate.

Michael Cohen investigation

In April of 2018, Berman's team executed a search warrant of the office and hotel room of longtime Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen for possible bank fraud and campaign finance violations. Since Berman had recused himself from the investigation, he was apparently not involved in the decision to raid Cohen's office. That raid most likely came on orders from Robert Khuzami, Berman’s top deputy.
