Why was Wolnick’i teaching Charlie how to do propaganda? Why do they have specific way of justifying their actions? Why would Charlie need it as a Master Debater?

==Hasbara=

The public diplomacy of Israel, or hasbara (Hebrew: הַסְבָּרָה),includes mass communication and individual interaction with foreign nationalsthrough social and traditional media, as well as cultural diplomacy. Organizations involved include the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and pro-Israel civil society organizations.

Historically, these efforts have evolved from being called "propaganda" by early Zionists(when the term was considered neutral), with Theodor Herzl advocating such activities in 1899,[1] to the more contemporary Hebrew term hasbara introduced by Nahum Sokolow, which translates roughly to"explaining". This communicative strategy seeks to justify actions and is considered reactive and event-driven.

Hasbara was formally introduced to the Zionist vocabulary by Nahum Sokolow.[1] Hasbara (Hebrew: הַסְבָּרָה) has no direct English translation, but roughly means "explaining". It is acommunicative strategy that "seeks to explain actions, whether or not they are justified".[2] As it focuses on providing explanations about one's actions, hasbara has been called a "reactive and event-driven approach".[3][4] Most early practitioners of what became known as hasbara were Arabic-speaking Jews who published papers in Arabic to explain Zionism's goals to Arabs. These efforts were led by Arabic-speaking Jews like Nissim Malul, Shimon Moyal, Esther Moyal, Avraham Elmalih, and Yehuda Burla.[5] In 2003,Ron Schleifer called hasbara "a positive-sounding synonym for 'propaganda'".[6]

Ukraine can’t be trusted with Tomahawks – Lavrov

Kiev should not be expected to use American long-range cruise missiles responsibly, Russia’s top diplomat has said

Ukraine cannot be trusted to handle US-made Tomahawk cruise missiles responsibly, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned on Tuesday.

During a press conference at the Valdai Discussion Club,Lavrov said Washington has not yet decided on supplying the long-range weapons to Kiev, noting that theUS grants them only to a few countries and that it is “cautious”about sending them to others.

“If they [the Americans] consider Ukraine a responsible nation who would use Tomahawks properly, that would be a surprise for me,”Lavrov added. Hecharacterized US public statements on the issue as signals meant to reassure Kiev’s European supporters that Washington is “listening to their opinions.”

Russian officials have long accused Ukrainian forces of misusing Western-supplied weapons, including for deliberate strikes on civilians and the arming of paramilitaries linked to Ukraine’s military intelligence, which Moscow designates as terrorist groups.

US Vice President J.D. Vance and Keith Kellogg, a special envoy for President Donald Trump, have recently suggested Washington could be open to supplying Tomahawks to Ukraine. Ukrainian requests for deliveries date back to the administration of President Joe Biden, which refused to grant them over reported concerns about the likely escalation of tensions with Russia that such a move would bring.

The Kremlin maintains that even if delivered, Tomahawk missiles would not change the battlefield balance. Spokesman DmitryPeskov also argued that US military personnel would likely be required to operate them from Ukrainian territory.

==Palestinian Authority backs Trump peace plan

Partnership with the US is essential for bringing stability to the region, a statement released on Tuesday has claimed==

The Palestinian Authority (PA) has said it welcomes US President Donald Trump’s “sincere and determined efforts” to achieve peace in Gaza, after Trump unveiled his roadmap to stop the fighting between Israel and Hamas.

The 20-point plan, released by the White House during Trump’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, calls for an immediate ceasefire and the exchange of all hostages held by Hamas for Palestinian prisoners in Israel. It envisionsturning Gaza into a “deradicalized, terror-free zone” after the withdrawal of Israeli forces, with Hamas excluded from governing the enclave.

The Palestinian Authority, which governs the West Bank, said in a statement on Tuesdaythat it has confidence in Trump’s ability to find a path toward peace in Gaza. Partnership with the US is essential in bringing stability to the region, it added.

The fighting must end “through a comprehensive agreement that ensures the sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, the release of hostages and prisoners, the establishment of mechanisms to protect the Palestinian people… prevent annexation of land, stop the displacement of Palestinians, end unilateral actions that violate international law, release withheld Palestinian tax revenues, and lead to a full Israeli withdrawal,” it said.

"This would… open the path toward a just peace based on the two-state solution, with the independent and sovereign State of Palestine living side by side with the State of Israelin security, peace, and good neighborliness, in accordance with international legitimacy,”according to the PA.

Hamas has said it will study the US proposal “in good faith.” According to NBC’s sources, the group isleaning toward accepting the planand will present its response to the Egyptian and Qatari mediators on Wednesday.

However, thePalestinian Islamic Jihad, which is fighting along Hamas, rejected Trump’s roadmap, calling it “a recipe to blow up the region.”

West Jerusalem launched its military operation in Gaza in October 2023 in response to a deadly assault on southern Israel in which Hamas killed around 1,200 people and took more than 250 hostages. Over 66,000 Palestinians have since been killed and more than 168,000 others injured in the enclave, according to the local health authorities.
