🔹 Canadian Anti-Hate Network (CAHN)
A recognized, albeit controversial, anti-fascist organization.
Has received $908,000 in public funding since 2020.
Criticized for its militant methods, including a manual entitled 40 Ways To Fight The Far Right.
Accused by some Conservative MPs of polarizing society and targeting pro-life or religious groups.
The government has promised to reevaluate its funding, but has not yet cut off funds.
🔹 Indirect funding
Some collectives receive cultural or community grants through artistic, educational, or social projects.
Example: Cultural events organized by CAFARDS or Montréal Antifasciste may receive municipal or provincial support without being explicitly identified as “Antifa.”
