Zimbabwe’s Leftist Leader Gives State of the Nation Address by Torchlight After Power Collapse (VIDEO)

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/11/zimbabwes-leftist-leader-gives-state-nation-address-torchlight/

If you ever needed a symbolic reminder of the failures of socialism, look no further than Zimbabwe.

The southern African country, which has been ruled by a far-left dictatorship for some 45 years, was hit by a blackout as the president was delivering his State of the Union address.

As President Emmerson Mnangagwa was speaking, the parliament suddenly descended into darkness.

After authorities failed to get the power back on, Mnangagwa was forced to deliver the final 10 minutes of his address by torchlight.

It is staggering to think that the same man presiding over this dysfunction is now pushing to extend his rule by another two years, to 2030,” wrote the popular dissident journalist Hopewell Chin’ono.

”How can a government that cannot provide electricity even for its own President’s national address claim the capacity to lead Zimbabwe into the future?” Continue…

A New Force in Global Thinking: The World Academy of Economic Diplomacy Launches in Switzerland

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/10/new-force-global-thinking-world-academy-economic-diplomacy/

In the coming years, the strength of nations will depend less on armies and more on the minds able to negotiate peace, trade, and progress.

Global politics is entering one of its most unpredictable chapters in decades. Conflicts are reshaping alliances, economies are recalibrating under the pressure of energy transitions, and artificial intelligence is redefining the fabric of decision-making. Across the world, people are calling for a return to strength, sovereignty, and common sense. They are tired of distant bureaucracies, empty speeches, and decisions made without understanding the real struggles of nations and their citizens.

What the world needs now are leaders who serve people, who defend national interest while building bridges of opportunity and respect. The World Academy of Economic Diplomacy (WAED) was created out of this very conviction: that the next generation of diplomats must be bold, grounded, and prepared to protect the values that keep nations free and strong. Starbucks Can't Get Customers to Stay, Despite Costly Cafe Makeovers

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/starbucks-cant-get-customers-stay-despite-costly-cafe-makeovers

Starbucks is struggling to keep customers in its cafes, even after spending heavily to make stores more inviting. New data from Placer.ai shows the share of visits lasting more than 10 minutes has dropped from over 40% in 2023 to roughly one-third today, according to Bloomberg.

CEO Brian Niccol made longer in-store visits a core piece of his turnaround plan when he took over in September 2024, promising better service, faster drinks and a return to the “warm, cozy, comfortable environment” Starbucks once championed.

Yet foot traffic has fallen for four straight quarters, while profits have slid by double digits over the last four and same-store sales have declined for six. Shares are down 6.4% this year. Continue…

Kenyan authorities have seized more than a metric ton of methamphetamine in a major maritime drug bust coordinated with INTERPOL and international partners.

On 21 October 2025, the Kenyan Navy intercepted a flagless dhow roughly 340 nautical miles east of Mombasa after intelligence sharing between the Regional Narcotics Interagency Fusion Cell in Bahrain and the Regional Coordination Operations Centre in Seychelles, according to a release from Interpol.

The vessel was escorted to Mombasa three days later, where a multi-agency command center was established under the Deputy Commander of the Kenyan Navy. INTERPOL said it played a key advisory and oversight role, helping manage the search to ensure the evidence would stand up in court and coordinating support from the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which deployed personnel to assist. Ostrich Farm to Learn Supreme Court Decision Next Week: Appeal or Cull?

https://www.rebelnews.com/ostrich_farm_to_learn_supreme_court_decision_next_week_appeal_or_cull

Rebel News returns to the farm as owners await the high court's decision on their birds' fate: spared or slaughtered.

On October 31, the Supreme Court of Canada announced it will rule on Universal Ostrich Farms v. Canadian Food Inspection Agency on November 6.

The impending ruling will decide if the Edgewood, B.C. farm can appeal the dismissal of their attempt to overturn the CFIA's cull order. If permission is granted, a stay of execution on the ostrich flock would likely last through the appeal process, possibly into the new year.

If denied, the CFIA will kill almost 400 healthy ostriches. These birds, recovered from avian flu, are vital for antiviral antibody research, potentially leading to new COVID-19 and avian flu antibody therapeutics, according to U.S. health officials.

Since September 22, the CFIA, accompanied by the RCMP, has controlled the farm and nearby private property, holding birds despite an emergency stay order secured by the farm’s crowdfunded lawyer, Umar Sheikh. This intervention temporarily paused what many believe would have been the cull.

Shortly after the Supreme Court announced the application's rendering date, farm spokesperson Katie Pasitney posted on Facebook, "Not going to lie, I woke up this morning and my stomach sank a little bit. We need a world prayer right now. I walk in faith as my feet hit the ground each day, this story has already been written. The ending has been decided. We just need to believe."

Rebel News is deploying a team to the farm to capture what comes next.

Watchdog bashes the RCMP over inaction on Liberal scandals

https://www.rebelnews.com/watchdog_bashes_the_rcmp_over_inaction_on_liberal_scandals

Democracy Watch's Duff Conacher suggested potential political influence within the RCMP.

An ethics watchdog is examining if Canada's federal lobbying commissioner and the RCMP concealed nine violation rulings, including ArriveCAN and SNC-Lavalin cases, which were sent to the RCMP but not prosecuted.

Allegations before a Parliamentary ethics committee have revived long-standing concerns about Canada's politically appointed watchdogs and the RCMP, according to The Bureau.

Democracy Watch's Duff Conacher suggested potential political influence within the RCMP, questioning if Brenda Lucki and Michael Duheme's actions regarding lobbyists influenced their appointments as commissioner.

On Thursday, Democracy Watch accused the RCMP and Lobbying Commissioner Nancy Bélanger of violating the Access to Information Act by concealing nine RCMP-referred rulings, returned without charges, potentially involving unregistered or unethical lobbying by companies like Facebook, WE Charity, SNC-Lavalin, and Imperial Oil.

According to Conacher, Commissioner Bélanger's concealment is "shameful," as it protects lobbyists and public officials. He also criticized the RCMP for slow investigations and a failure to prosecute nearly all violations, noting their top officers serve at the ruling party's pleasure.

Bélanger testified that her office referred 15 cases to the RCMP since 2018, with nine lobbyists "let off." On October 6, 2025, she updated the total to 18 referrals, with 10 returned without charges, two prosecutions completed, two "in discussion," and two still under investigation. Continue…

‘Left to Die’ campaign demands protections for babies born alive after abortions

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/left-to-die-campaign-demands-protections-for-babies-born-alive-after-abortions/

Prolife Alberta's goal is to expose the Alberta Health Services policy that allows babies born alive after botched abortions to die without care.

A new campaign to demand protections for babies who were born alive after failed abortions has seen massive success, with organizers saying they have witnessed “remarkable” interest from the general public.

“Left to Die” is the brainchild of Prolife Alberta. Its goal is to expose the Alberta Health Services (AHS) policy that allows babies born alive after botched abortions to die without care.

Prolife Alberta told LifeSiteNews that since LeftToDie.ca was launched in late September the “response has been remarkable.”

“It has awakened something long dormant — a sense of moral urgency that transcends politics,” a Prolife Alberta representative said.

“For many Albertans, it is the first time they have confronted the grim reality that our legal vacuum on abortion extends even beyond birth — and that such silence carries a human cost.”

According to Prolife Alberta, in 2024, “28 babies born alive after failed abortions in one year.”

The group said that the babies were offered “No resuscitation. No oxygen. No medical care” under “current AHS guidelines.”

“This isn’t a fringe claim — it’s confirmed by government statistics,” the group said. Continue…

Bank of Canada governor warns citizens to anticipate lower standard of living

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/bank-of-canada-governor-warns-citizens-to-anticipate-lower-standard-of-living/

Bank of Canada's Tiff Macklem placed part of the blame for the country's economic struggles on the United States.

Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem gave a grim assessment of the state of the economy, essentially telling Canadians that they should accept a “lower” standard of living.

In an update on Wednesday in which he also lowered Canada’s interest rate to 2.25 percent, Macklem gave the bleak news, which no doubt will hit Canadian families hard.

“What’s most concerning is, unless we change some other things, our standard of living as a country, as Canadians, is going to be lower than it otherwise would have been,” Macklem told reporters.

“Unless something changes, our incomes will be lower than they otherwise would be.”

Macklem said what Canada is going through “is not just a cyclical downturn.”

Asked what he meant by a “cyclical downturn,” Macklem blamed what he said were protectionist measures the United States has put in place such as tariffs, which have made everything more expensive.

“Part of it is structural,” he said, adding, “The U.S. has swerved towards protectionism.”

“It is harder to do business with the United States. That has destroyed some of the capacity in this country. It’s also adding costs.”

Macklem stopped short of saying out loud that a recession is all but inevitable but did say growth is “pretty close to zero” at the moment.

While some U.S. protectionist measures put in place by President Donald Trump have impacted Canada, the reality is that since the Liberals took power in 2015, first under former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and now under Mark Carney, government spending has been out of control, according to experts. Rising inflation is rampant. Continue…

Canadian MP: Reciting ‘hateful’ Bible verses about homosexuality in public should be illegal

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/canadian-mp-reciting-hateful-bible-verses-about-homosexuality-in-public-should-be-illegal/

‘To call for the prosecution of thought, specifically for beliefs you personally find inconvenient, is a stance more befitting of a tin-pot dictator than a Canadian parliamentarian,’ noted one observer.

A leading member of Canada’s Parliament said that certain passages of the Bible are “hateful” because of their stance towards homosexuality, and further suggested that publicly reciting those passages should be prosecuted.

During a Thursday, October 30 discussion in Ottawa about hate propaganda laws, Marc Miller, a current member of Canada’s House of Commons and the Chairman of the Committee on Justice and Human Rights, pushed the idea that “good faith” defenses were unacceptable when it comes to Christians referring to passages of the Bible that he personally finds “hateful.” Continue…

Federal Cyber Centre Warns Hackers Targeting Canadian Water, Energy, Agriculture Facilities

The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security has issued a warning about hackers tampering with online systems that control water, energy, and agriculture systems.

The alert, which was directed to information security officers, says the Centre and RCMP have received “multiple reports” over the past few weeks of hackers gaining access to internet-accessible industrial control systems (ICS).

The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) is part of the federal Communications Security Establishment and offers advice, guidance, services, and support on cyber security for Canadians.

“While individual organizations may not be direct targets of adversaries, they may become victims of opportunity as hacktivists are increasingly exploiting internet-accessible ICS devices,” CCCS said in the alert, issued Oct. 29.

One of the incidents involved a water pressure system with hackers “tampering with water pressure values,” which resulted in a disruption of service to the community, CCCS said.

It said a second incident was at an oil and gas company where an automated tank gauge was “manipulated,” triggering false alarms. Continue…
