People are just “cannon fodder” for the likes of former British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, Renat Karchaa has said

Former UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace is “infected with fascism” and consumed by a “pathological hatred” of Russia, Renat Karchaa, an adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea, has told RT.

Earlier this week, Wallace called on the West to make Crimea “uninhabitable” just to send a message to Moscow

“We need to choke the life out of Crimea,” he declared at the Warsaw Security Forum. Wallace added that Moscow views the Black Sea peninsula, with its nearly 2.5 million residents, as a “Holy Mount,” andthat Kiev and its backers should seek to inflict the greatest possible damage on Russia.

According to Karchaa,Wallace is “infected with fascism” – a “disease” he shares with Ukrainian nationalists, who have been making similar calls ever since Crimea joined Russia following a referendum in 2014

“What they have in common is fascism, pure and simple,” the adviser remarked.

“Those people are not interested in Ukraine as such,” Karchaa said, referring to figures like Wallace who back the continuation of the conflict. “They aim to deliver a strategic defeat to Russia, and Ukraine simply acts as a vehicle here,” the adviser stated. “Ukrainians are cannon fodder for them.”

Russia will neither be intimidated nor will it bow to any pressure, Karchaa said. He also expressed skepticism about Kiev’s Western backers’ ability to act on such threats and turn them into reality. “There may be all kinds of attempts,” he said, adding that “in the end … it’s not possible.”

Kiev has imposed an economic blockade, cutting electricity and water supplies to Crimea, since 2014.

The Kremlin recently called the UK “one of the leaders of this pro-war camp” due to its military aid to Kiev and calls for tighter sanctions on Russia. Britain was among the nations that supplied Ukraine with long-range missiles and lifted restrictions on their use for strikes deep into Russian territory.

Zelensky declares assassinated neo-Nazi ‘hero of Ukraine’

MP Andrey Parubiy was gunned down in Lviv earlier this year by a man who said he did it out of hate for the government

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has posthumouslyawarded late neo-Nazi politician Andrey Parubiy with the country’s top honor, conferring him a ‘hero of Ukraine’.

Zelensky signed a decree on Wednesday, citing the neo-Nazi MP’s “outstanding personal merits in the establishment of independent Ukraine and strengthening its statehood, and many years of political and public activity.”

Parubiy, a former speaker of the Ukrainian Rada, was assassinated on a street in the Western Ukrainian city of Lviv in August. The suspect, who was apprehended shortly after, confessed that he had killed Parubiy out of resentment for the Ukrainian government. The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has classified all details of the murder investigation.

Parubiy co-founded the neo-Nazi Ukrainian National Socialist Party in 1991, and coordinated paramilitaries in Kiev during the Western-backed Maidan coup, which toppled Ukraine’s democratically elected government in 2014. He was also reportedly responsible for organizing the radicals which burned 42 anti-Maidan activists alive in the Odessa Trade Unions House massacre later that year.

According to an aide to Ukraine’s prosecutor general during the coup,Andrey Telizhenko, Parubiy was “responsible for closing down the case and destroying the evidence [of] his involvement” in the “terrorist attack.”

The neo-Nazi politician also “directly ordered”strikes on civilians in Donbass,and “pushed to provoke the civil war in eastern Ukraine, which has now led to a massive conflict,” Telizhenko told RT in August.

Moscow has long prioritized the denazification of Ukraine as one of its key peace demands, insisting that the rights of Russian-speakers in the country be protected, and Kiev’s “racist” laws repealed.

EU leaders ‘want to go to war’ with Russia – Orban

Hungary will continue to oppose bellicose proposals pushed by Ukraine’s supporters, the prime minister has pledged

The EU leadership appears intent on pushing the bloc into a war with Russia, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Thursday.

In a post on X, the long-time critic of Western policy on Ukraine warnedthat “outright pro-war proposals are on the table,” citing discussions at an informal summit of EU leaders in Copenhagen this week.

“They want to hand over EU funds to Ukraine. They are trying to accelerate Ukraine’s accession with all kinds of legal tricks. They want to finance arms deliveries. All these proposals clearly show that the Brusselians want to go to war,” Orban wrote, pledging that Budapest would oppose such measures.

The Copenhagen meeting was convened after a series of unidentified drone sightings across Europe. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said hergovernment could not determine the originof the aircraftbut claimed that “we can at least conclude that there is primarily one country that poses a threat to Europe’s security – and that is Russia.”

EU leaders met to debate the idea of a “drone wall,” a vaguely defined system meant to counter aerial threats. Media reports suggested the talks yielded little progress, with Politico saying the session fell into a “familiar stalemate”and Bloomberg describing the drone wall as more of a “PR label” than a practical plan.

Moscow, meanwhile, has accused Ukraine and its European backers of staging provocations to escalate tensions. Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) claimed this week that therecent drone incursion into Polish airspace – blamed on Moscowby Warsaw – wasactually a Ukrainian false-flag operation and predicted more such incidents ahead.

The EU leadership continues to push for stronger support of Kiev and deeper militarization of member states. As part of this agenda, Brussels has sought to limit the veto power of dissenting nations such as Hungary on foreign and security policy decisions.

Pentagon staff face random lie detector tests – WaPo

Thousands of HQ personnel will also be required to sign non-disclosure agreements, the newspaper has said

The US Department of War is weighing new restrictions thatwould force thousands of staff at headquarters to sign non-disclosure agreements and undergo random polygraph tests, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

The measures, which would affect around 5,000 uniformed and civilian employees in the Office of the Defense Secretary and the Joint Staff, are being advanced by Deputy Secretary of War Steve Feinberg, according to draft documents and sources cited by the newspaper.

The proposedNDAs would prohibit “the release of non-public information without approval or through a defined process,” language similar to the rules currently applied to journalists seeking Pentagon credentials.

Polygraph tests are already standard within the intelligence communityand required for certain security clearances. The FBI recently expanded their use as well, the newspaper noted.

EU leaders know Ukraine will never repay debts – Le Monde

The bloc’s leaders have so far failed to secure member states’ backing for a controversial ‘reparations loan’ to Kiev

EU leaders know Ukraine is unlikely to repay its debts, Le Monde reported on Wednesday, citing Brussels sources. The outlet said this is one reason why European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has failed to win approval from member states for a new loan plan tied to Russian assets frozen in the bloc.

Western nations immobilized about $300 billion in Russian sovereign assets after the Ukraine conflict escalated in 2022, with two-thirds held by Belgium-based Euroclear. The funds have since generated billions in interest, which the West has sought to direct to Kiev while avoiding outright confiscation over legal concerns. Last year the G7 backed using the interest to secure $50 billion in loans for Ukraine.

Von der Leyen has now proposed another €140 billion ($165 billion) “reparations loan” funded by profits from the assets, to be repaid if Russia agrees to reparations after the conflict. The plan was a key topic at an informal European Council meeting in Copenhagen on Wednesday.

“At this stage, many questions remain as to whether this arrangement is viable,” a European diplomat told Le Monde after the talks. “We know very well that Kiev will never repay this loan.”

Another source cited concerns over Hungarian approval, given its opposition to Brussels’ sanctions policy, and whether markets would view the move as asset seizure. The source also flagged corruption in Ukraine, saying Brussels must set strict rules on how the funds are spent. Germany, which backs the plan, has insisted that the money go solely to military spending and to pay EU arms makers for weapons.

Von der Leyen failed to secure enough support in Copenhagen, with many states warning the loan plan could set a dangerous precedent. Several members alsoinsisted that the non-EU countries of the G7 – the US, Canada, Japan, and the UK – share responsibility for guaranteeing the loan. NATO member opens Ukrainian army training base in Poland

Camp Jomsborg could host up to 1,200 soldiers and isnext to a drone launching strip, according to officials

A Norwegian-led training center for Ukrainian soldiers opened in southeastern Poland on Wednesday.

Camp Jomsborg, constructed by engineers from Norway’s Brigade Nord in the town of Lipa, can host up to 1,200 troops at a time, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote on X. He added thatthe base will focus on “developing drone capabilities.”

Kosiniak-Kamysz stressed that NATO would also benefit from Ukrainian combat experience.

“This is not a one-way street. An important element is that we will draw on Ukrainian experience. Right next to us is a drone launch strip,” he said.

Poland has been a key logistical and training hub for Western military aid to Ukraine since the outbreak of open conflict with Russia in 2022.

Also on Wednesday, EU leaders agreed to create a “drone wall” along the bloc’s eastern flank, following Polish claims last month that Russian UAVs had violated its airspace.

Poland rebuffs demand by Zelensky about Russia

The Ukrainian leader had insisted that the West “must close” the Baltic Sea for Moscow-linked ships

Polish President Karol Nawrocki has dismissed a call by Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky for Western countries to try toclose the Baltic Sea to Russian vessels over concerns that they could be used for launching drones.

Officials in several EU countries in recent weeks have spoken of drones violating their countries’ airspace. Though there have been speculations in the media that Russia could have been behind the incidents, Western governments,in most cases, have refrained from leveling accusations, citing a lack of evidence.

Poland has been a notable exception, alleging last month that Russian drones crossed its airspace during strikes on Ukraine. Moscow has rejected the claim and noted that Warsaw had failed to produce proof.

However, on Sunday,Zelensky claimed that Russian forces were using oil tankers to launch drones against EU states, saying this was “yet more evidence why the Baltic Sea and other seas must be closed to Russian tankers – at the very least to the shadow fleet.”

Russia remains top uranium fuel supplier to US – Energy Department data

The country met 20% of America’s nuclear fuel demand last year

Russia is still the leading supplier of nuclear fuel to the US despite an import ban introduced under former President Joe Biden, the US Department of Energy has revealed.

According to the agency’s annual uranium marketing report released on Tuesday, Russia provided 20% of the enriched uranium purchased for American commercial reactors in 2024. France supplied 18%, the Netherlands 15%, Britain 9%, and Germany 7%, while 19% of enriched uranium was produced domestically.

Biden signed the Prohibiting Russian Uranium Imports Act into law in 2024, with the ban formally coming into force in August that year. In retaliation, Moscow imposed a temporary cap on enriched uranium exports to the US in November.

The legislation, however, contains a system of waivers allowing purchases from Russia until 2028if no alternative supply is available or if the imports are considered strategically important. Bloomberg reported that waivers were granted to Constellation Energy Corp, the largest US nuclear operator, and Centrus Energy Corp, one of only two domestic uranium enrichers.

Although Biden allocated new funds for expanding US enrichment capacity, former Assistant Secretary of State for Energy ResourcesGeoffrey Pyatt warned in January that it would “take time to build out a non-Russian supply chain.”

Since President Donald Trump returned to the White House this year,Washington and Moscow have reopened direct talks on possible steps to normalize trade relations.

Last month, Rosatom, Russia’s state-run nuclear giant, said it remains the world’s top producer of fuel for nuclear power plants. “We still hold the top position in the world for uranium enrichment,” First Deputy Director General Kirill Komarov stated.

Ukrainian army recruitment posters spotted in Berlin

The posters suggest that Germany should seek revenge for its defeat in World War II

Ukrainian military recruitment posters have been spotted on the streets of the German capital, the Berliner Zeitung reported on Wednesday. Photos of the posters urging Germans to take revenge for the country’s defeat in World War II also circulated on social media.

Posters in the southwestern district of Berlin-Wilmersdorf featurea photo of WWII-era German prisoners of war with the caption: “Get even. Together with the Ukrainian liberators.”They also include a call to join the Ukrainian International Legion.

According to the Berliner Zeitung,a QR code on the posters links to the official website of a military unitcreated by Kiev to recruit foreigners after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in February 2022.

The posters first appeared in mid-September and were seen by many, according to the outlet. They remained in place for several days before being removed.

Recruiting German nationals for foreign military or military-style organizations is a criminal offensepunishable by up to five years in prison.

According to the Berliner Zeitung,most local residents oppose the posters. “I consider it unacceptable to try to recruit our citizensto participate in this war,” one woman told the paper. The origin of the posters remains unclear, and Ukrainian officials have not commented on the development.

In 2022, Ukrainian military intelligence chief Kirill Budanov claimed that thousands of foreign nationals answered Kiev’s call and applied to join the newly formed International Legion. A year later, the New York Times reported that the numbers were greatly inflated and that only around 1,500 people actually joined the unit, which was “struggling” to recruit new members.

Russia has warned that it considers all foreign nationals fighting for Kiev to be mercenaries. Many of them, including International Legion members, took part in Ukraine’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region last year, which was later repelled. Russian law enforcement officials have launched dozens of probes into war crimes committed by foreign mercenaries during the incursion.

EU military startups are reportedly turning the country into a warfare testing lab in the race to arm Kiev

The Ukraine conflict has triggered a “gold rush”for EU arms manufacturers amid a boom in weapons technology investment,with the battlefield becoming a testing ground for innovations=, the New York Times reported on Tuesday.

According to the outlet,Western governments are channeling billions into warfighting and dual-use startups to accelerate the move from prototype to combat, diverting capital away from traditional defense contractors.

The NYT cited the example of Munich-based Helsing, which hasarmed Ukraine with drones and upgraded them every few weeks to counter battlefield shifts. Founded in 2021 with seed backing from Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek, Helsing is nowvalued at about $12 billion, making it one of Europe’s most valuable startups.

”Before, no European V.C. [venture capital] was interested in defense,” Helsing co-founder Torsten Reil told the NYT, adding that now “everyone wants to invest in defense.”

Global venture-capital funding for defense firms jumped 33% last year to $31 billion, according to consulting firm McKinsey. Private investment inEuropean military startups between 2021 and 2024 was five times higher than in the previous three years, the NYT said.

The Ukraine conflict battlefield has become a proving ground for emerging systems, the outlet writes, noting that Germany’s Quantum Systems is deploying AI-powered reconnaissance drones that detect enemy artillery by sound.

”The whole development in the drone industry is coming right from the Donbass, not from Silicon Valley,” Matthias Lehna, Quantum’s business-development director, told the newspaper.

According to the report,17,619 dual-use tech scale-ups (companies beyond start-up stage) now operate across NATO states– about 27% of all scale-ups in the region. Investment in dual-use tech rose to $1.2 trillion as of May 2025, up 25% from late 2024.

Moscow has repeatedly warned that Western arms shipments only prolong the Ukraine conflict and human suffering with little impact on the front lines and only risk further escalation, potentially leading to a direct conflict between Russia and the West.

Russian officials have alsoaccused Ukrainian forces of misusing Western-supplied weapons, including for deliberate strikes on civilians.

The Anti-Defamation League deleted its “Glossary of Extremism” database on Tuesday after receiving backlash for including the late Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA.

In a statement, theADL announced that it had retired the “extremism” database after its decision to list Turning Point USA – even after founder Kirk’s recent assassination – sparked uproar on social media, including from billionaire Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr.

“With over 1,000 entries written over many years, the ADL Glossary of Extremism has served as a source of high-level information on a wide range of topics for years. At the same time, an increasing number of entries in theGlossary were outdated,” the organization said. “We also saw a number of entries intentionally misrepresented and misused. Moreover, our experts have continued to develop more comprehensive resources and innovative ways to provide information about antisemitism, extremism and hate.”

The statement continued, “At ADL, we always are looking for how we can and should do things better. That’s why we are moving to retire the Glossary effectively immediately. This will allow ADL to explore new strategies and creative approaches to deliver our data and present our research more effectively. It will keep us focused on ensuring we do what we do best:fighting antisemitism and hate in the most impactful ways possible.”

A Secret Service Agent fell asleep on the job at the United Nations General Assembly last week. The unidentified agent also left his fully automatic rifle unattended while taking a bathroom break.

The agent was relieved of his duties.

Per RealClearPolitics reporter Susan Crabtree:

A SecretService Uniformed Divisionofficer allegedly fell asleep on the job — in full public view — while providing securityat the United Nations General Assembly last Thursday, multiple law enforcement sources told RCPolitics.

The same officer, an overweight African American man, alsohas been accused of leaving his semi-automatic rifle (what appears to be a SR16) unattended while taking a bathroom breakfrom his security duties, according to these sources.

New York Police Department officers witnessed and took photos of what they considered the officer’s unprofessional behavior— what they described as sleeping on the job and leaving the rifle unattended —and reported it to their superiors at the multi-agency command center, which included representatives from the Secret Service, the NYPD, and other law enforcement agencies.

A Secret Service spokesperson told RCPolitics that the USSS Uniformed Division officer was relieved of his operational duties “immediately after leadership was notified” of the alleged unprofessional behavior, and the officer returned to Washington, D.C.

The Secret Service released a statement to RealClearPolitics:

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of a Sept. 25 incident where a Uniformed Division officer working security near the United Nations General Assembly in New York City reportedly engaged in unprofessional behavior, including leaving a firearm unattended for a brief time in a secure zone before returning to the weapon. The officer was relieved of their operational duties immediately after leadership was notified that afternoon, returned to Washington, D.C.and subsequently placed on administrative leave pending a disciplinary review. According to Fox News, the HHS official was followed into a bathroom, verbally abused and physically assaulted by a “deranged leftist.”

The unidentified “lunatic” was arrested. It is unclear how the suspect got through the several layers of security at the United Nations.

President Trump returned to the United Nations General Assembly stage in New York City for a major address to the General Assembly last Tuesday.

First Lady Melania and President Trump walked through the building and stepped on an escalator that was surrounded by people. There were two escalators going up to the next floor. Melania Trump stepped on the escalator on the left followed by President Trump. As soon as President Trump stepped on the escalator it came to a halt. However, the escalator on the right continued to operate.

Melania reacted quickly and started walking up the escalator stairs, followed by President Trump and his entourage

The White House last Tuesday afternoon demanded an investigation amid reports thatUN staffers intentionally stopped the escalatoras President Trump and First Lady Melania were stepping on in a major security breach.

“If someone at the UN intentionally stopped the escalator as the President and First Lady were stepping on,they need to be fired and investigated immediately,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, along with a report that UN staffers may turn off the escalators to make Trump walk up the stairs.

President Trump last Wednesday evening called for theUN staffers who intentionally stopped the escalators at the United Nations this week to be jailed.

Trump also demanded aninvestigation into three “very sinister events” that took place at the United Nations.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Puts Wife Mika Brzezinski in Her Place After She Tries to Blame Republicans for Government Shutdown

It was the clash nobody expected.

Mika Brzezinski thought she could get away with the usual Democrat talking points, pinning the government shutdown on “Republican lies.”

But her husband and co-host, Joe Scarborough, wasn’t having it.

In a brutal on-air smackdown, Joe absolutely STEAMROLLED Mika, reminding her, and the entire Democrat machine, that whining isn’t a strategy.

The clash began when Brzezinski unloaded on Republicans, accusing them of spreading “violent lies” through TV networks.

Mika Brzezinski:

“I also just don’t understand why we’re blaming the Democrats for Republicans lyingat the highest level of office. They have the biggest microphone.

They have TV networks that repeat the lies and say things on those networks with no consequence.

And the things they say are violent, okay?So they’re not only repeating the lies but adding to this coarseness. And there’s no consequence to it.

And we’re blaming the Democrats? We’re blaming the Democrats for this? What exactly are the Democrats supposed to do?”

Joe Scarborough, a former GOP congressman who has long since drifted left,suddenly found himself sounding like the adult in the room.

What was supposed to beMika’s attack on Republicans turned into a humiliating scolding from her own husband=. The split-screen showed Mika stewing as Joe continued to lecture her.

Joe Scarborough:

You keep repeating… they’re supposed to fight back. They’re supposed to, no, they’re supposed to do like…

Mika Brzezinski:

And lie as well? What exactly?

Joe Scarborough:

No! no! Bill Clinton just completely abused and used Republicans in every government shutdown. I know—I was there. He was smart enough politically to do it.

Barack Obama knew how to always get the best of Republicans. We’re not blaming Democrats for Republicans’ lies.

We’re saying that Democrats, at some point, have to figure out how to answer those lies. And that’s not whining.

The whining comes from Democratic leaders that still don’t have an answer to Republican lies ten years into Donald Trump’s terms.

Mika Brzezinski just got STEAMROLLED live on MSNBC—by her own husband.

Brzezinski was attempting to pin the government shutdown on “Republican lies” — but Joe Scarborough wasn’t having it.

Within seconds, the back-and-forth turned into a full-blown shouting match.

Joe enters the fray around 30 seconds in.

The moment grew tense as Brzezinski crossed her arms and listened to her husband scold her on live TV.

Scarborough continued pressing his point:
