IS THE US QUIETLY ROLLING OUT DIGITAL ID?
While the public scream, "No Digital ID!!" especially here in the UK, it seems that, behind the scenes, a system is being constructed that will mean it will be implemented whether we like it or not. I have already had personal experience of this "back door" system recently when production of the usual identity documents like driving license, passport, etc were denied and I was ferried off to a privately run website for personal "one-off" identity verification by webcam requiring facial recognition, just as is explained in this video.
