Yes a king just means one person to the rest of the world. Maybe you mean a parliament or a committee or senate where people share rule. But in historical and allegorical context, no one mistakes king as anything other than a single ruler.
Which is why we understand that saying ‘Christ is King’ means Him and not a team of prophets sharing rule with Him.
