we should see, within our lives, a 'maker' movement, where many of the goods we use on a regular basis are made in-home or at least very close to our homes. name brands will matter less, because once a design exists, the name won't matter.
yeah, a plastic gun sounds dangerous and silly.
but more importantly, an informed and capable manufacturing public is more dangerous to 'the establishment' than most people realize.
