I posted most of this on the bunker last night and the BV or BO said they will send him the message but in reality they didn't do the work, just eventually rebooted the servers sometime in the morning. There are only 3 reasons to get a bad malformed string for an ad image source property.
-
Code is poorly written that can get into a state where softserver is being repeated infinitely and feed to a function that write the source property of those images. 95% chance
-
Someone is intentionally overwriting strings that has admin access. 4.9999% chance
-
A hacker who truly understands the inside and out of this system is sending an .gif file with code that knows how to do the proper escape sequences for all subsystems and eventually overwrite those strings. .0001% chance.
