No cop has authority to tell someone to stop talking. It is a blatant violation of the first amendment. Think about this, if the supreme court said you CANNOT be prosecuted for interference/obstruction for protected speech and that the first amendment protects critisizm of the police, how can a cop order them to stop speaking/criticizing them?
