They never used the term self sacrifice nor personal sacrifice to distinguish back then only the word Mercy and Merciful. If you do not understand Mercy requires personal sacrifice of any degree then you will never understand. This I have proven along with the Armor of God to be real. John the Baptist said: The one who comes after me Baptizes with fire (of the Holy Spirit) meaning Christ. This I have witnessed and put into action years later. First comes the one who baptizes with mercy, self sacrifice, then comes the one who baptizes with a Light not of this world.
