Trump says he made decision on supplying Ukraine with Tomahawks
The US President has refused to reveal what the decision is, adding he would have to ask “where are they sending them”
The US President Donald Trump has said he had already made a decision on supplying long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. He however refused to reveal what the exact decision is.
“I’ve sort of made a decision on that. I would have to ask the question where are they sending them,” he told journalists at the White House on Monday.
“I’m not looking to see escalation,” Trump stressed. (That’s his answer)
Last month, US Vice President J.D. Vance revealed that the White House was considering supplying Kiev with the rockets, which cost an estimated $1.3 million each and have a range of 2,500km (1,550 miles), meaning that they could potentially reach Moscow and far beyond.
Russian President Vladimir Putin later warned that relations between Moscow and Washington would be ruined in that case. He also argued that Kiev’s forces would be unable to operate such a sophisticated system without the “direct participation of American military personnel.”
Reuters, citing anonymous sources, reported that the US was unlikely to supply Tomahawks to Ukraine, as the current inventories were committed to the US Navy and other uses. The Financial Times also reported that somepeople inside Trump’s inner circle were skeptical as to the Tomahawks’ ability to change battlefield dynamics.(they are $1 Billion a piece, of course Trump won’t send them. He doesn’t want to answer, because Zelensky would keep on pestering him, along with his EU backers.)

US President Donald Trump has mocked activist Greta Thunberg over attempt to reach Gaza aboard an aid flotilla, arrest and deportation afterwards.
Over 400 activists, with Thunberg among them, were detained by the Israeli navy on Friday as they tried to breach the blockade of the enclave by sea. More than 130 of them were deported to Türkiye over the weekend. Thunberg became a part of a group of activists deported to Greece and Slovakia earlier on Monday.
When asked about the Swedish activist, Trump responded with “she is a troublemaker.” “She’s no longer into the environment, now she’s into this… She needs to see a doctor. She has an anger management problem,” he told journalists at the Oval Office on Monday.
On Saturday, fellow activists and lawyers claimed that Thunberg, along with others, was subjected to “torture” and “harsh treatment” in an Israeli prison after they were arrested. West Jerusalem later rejected the claims, while National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said he is “proud” of the harsh conditions the activists are being held in.
Thunberg and Trump have been feuding for years, involving throwing each other’s own words back in the face. Back in 2019, he made remarks on the activist’s “anger management problem” after she was named Time’s Person of the Year. Thunberg responded by updating her Twitter (now X) biography to include: “A teenager working on her anger management problem.”

No euro for Hungary as EU ‘falling apart’ – Orban
The Hungarian prime minister has said he does not want to abandon the national currency in favor of that used by the “disintegrating” bloc
Hungary will not adopt the euro as its currency, as the EU is “falling apart,” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.
Bloc members are obliged to eventually join the Eurozone, with the exception of Denmark, which secured an opt-out.Seven of the 27 EU member states still use their national currencies.
In an interview with economic news site EconomX on Monday, Orban was asked whether he would move towards adopting the euro in Hungary.
“It will definitely not be on my agenda,” he replied.
“The European Union is in trouble, in the process of disintegration, it is currently falling apart,” he said.
Orban argued that, in light of this, he did not want to tie Hungary’s fate to the EU any further.
The Hungarian leader has been progressively more critical of the EU in recent years, clashing with its leadership over arms supplies to Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, and a shift towards militarization.
Orban has also vowed to veto Kiev’s EU bid, arguing that Ukrainian membership would destroy the bloc’s economy, and directly embroil it in a conflict with Russia.
EU leaders are increasingly pushing to fast-track Ukraine’s accession and want to finance more military aid, clearly showing that “the Brusselians want to go to war,” he wrote on X last week.
His position has led to tension with Kiev, exacerbated in recent months by Ukraine’s strikes on Russian energy facilities that supply oil to landlocked Hungary.
Kiev and certain senior figures in the EU are conspiring to influence Hungarian domestic politics to put a pro-Ukrainian governmentin power, Orban claimed on Saturday.
His accusation echoed a report from Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), published earlier this year.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen “is seriously studying regime change scenarios” in Hungary due to Orban’s overly “independent policy,” the spy agency claimed.

EU ‘war psychosis’ facing increasing opposition – Hungarian FM
The bloc’s leaders want a prolonged conflict with Russia despite widespread fatigue, Peter Szijjarto has claimed
Hungary’s pro-peace stance on the Ukraine conflict is quietly gaining sympathy among other EU members, although most officials are too fearful to challenge Brussels’ militaristic approach publicly, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has claimed.
The Hungarian government has consistently criticized the EU’s military and financial backing for Ukraine, calling it self-destructive and counterproductive to peace efforts.
Speaking to Kossuth Radio on Sunday, Szijjartoasserted that “a very harsh war psychosis reigns among European political leaders today.” He argued that the EU’s current strategy of cutting off dialogue with Moscow “will clearly result in a long war.”
“They want to burn the money of the European people by buying weapons – say, from America – and sending them to Ukraine,” he said.
According to Szijjarto,officials from other EU member states “whisper to us in the corridors that they agree with us,” and even urge Budapest “to stand our ground even more firmly,” he added.
The Hungarian diplomat also praised the recent electoral victory of Andrej Babis’ ANO party in the Czech Republic, describing it as a turning point that could usher in “a completely different European political era.”He said Babis would become a “patriotic Central European prime minister” similar to Hungary’s Viktor Orban and Slovakia’s Robert Fico.
Orban hailed the Czech result as “good news for Europe.” Meanwhile Babis reiterated that Ukraine “is not ready for the EU,” echoing Budapest’s stance on Kiev’s membership ambitions.
Earlier on Friday, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel revealed that her 2021 proposal for direct EU-Russia talks had been rejected by Poland and the Baltic states, which pushed for a unified position against Moscow.
