Diddy At Risk Of Being Sexually Assaulted In Prison, Lawyer Warns After The Rapper's Sentencing
Sean "Diddy" Combs' lawyer, Mark Geragos, has called attention to the risks the rapper faces as he begins to serve his sentence.
Geragos said the embattled music mogul faces a potential sexual assault from other inmates, days after it was revealed someone tried to shank him in jail.
Sean "Diddy" Combs' jail term has sparked mixed reactions online, with several legal experts sharing their opinions, including one who predicted the rapper would be released in 18 months.

Following his conviction on two counts of prostitution related charges in July, U.S. Federal judge Arun Subramanian sentenced the "Bad Boy For Life" rapper to 50 months behind bars on Friday.
Appearing on the "2 Angry Men" podcast over the weekend, Geragos suggested that Diddy is at risk of suffering sexual and other forms of assault in jail, and could be made worse because of his celebrity status, per TMZ.
After being asked if he is "concerned" about Diddy getting "sexually" and "violently assaulted" in prison, Geragos answered in the affirmative, noting that they already tried to "shank" him once.
"They are going to have to keep him somewhere that they can keep an eye on him," the lawyer noted. "It would have obviously been better if he had gotten less time and had been at a camp."
Since his arrest in September last year, Diddy has been staying at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, but it's unlikely he'll be seeing out his sentencing in the same facility, as Judge Subramanian is expected to make a recommendation on that today.
Although the final decision rests with the Bureau of Prisons, Geragos says Diddy is still a "target" for sexual assault, even though he will eventually be assigned to a minimum-security prison.
"It's a prison. You always have to watch your back. And if that's the case, you're never really out of the woods until you're released or you go to a halfway house," the lawyer explained, stressing it would be safer for Diddy to be in a "camp."

WASHINGTON (TNND) — Ethics watchdog the Foundation for Accountability & Civic Trust (FACT) on Tuesday filed a complaint accusing Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., of violating Senate ethics policy by advocating for legislation to award his wife’s nonprofit $7 million.
The senator’s wife Sandra Whitehouse works for the advocacy group Ocean Conservancy, which received over $14 million in government grants since she started in 2008. Half of this money came in fall 2024 alone and was supported by Sen. Whitehouse, FACT wrote.
Senator Whitehouse directly voted for legislation that recently led to $6.9 million of taxpayer funds being paid to an organization for which his wife works and receives an income from,” the complaint reads. “This circular relationship appears to be directly contrary to the Senate rules that broadly prohibit Senators from using the power of their office to benefit or appear to benefit themselves or their spouses.
“We request the Senate Ethics Committee conduct a full investigation into Senator Whitehouse’s actions that, at a minimum, have created an appearance of a conflict of interest,” it added.
Reacting to the complaint was Ocean Conservancy, which reviled the accusations as having already been “debunked.”
“Dr. Sandra Whitehouse, a well-respected marine ecologist and ocean policy consultant, has not received compensation from these federal grants allocated to Ocean Conservancy,” Ocean Conservancy’s Vice President of External Affairs Jeff Watters wrote.
