Nvidia’s Huang says he’s surprised AMD offered 10% of the company in ‘clever’ OpenAI deal

WED, OCT 8 20258:53 AM

KEY POINTS

• Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said he’s surprised AMD offered 10% of itself to OpenAI as part of a multibillion-dollar partnership announced earlier this week.

•The deal includes a warrant for OpenAI to buy up to a 10% stake in AMD.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said Wednesday that he’s surprisedAdvanced Micro Devices offered 10% of itself to OpenAI as part of a multibillion-dollar partnership announced earlier this week.

“It’s imaginative, it’s unique and surprising, considering they were so excited about their next generation product,” Huang said in an interview with “CNBC’s Squawk Box.” “I’m surprised that they would give away 10% of the company before they even built it. And so anyhow, it’s clever, I guess.”

OpenAI and AMD reached a deal on Monday, withOpenAI committing to purchase 6 gigawatts worth of AMD chips over multiple years, including its forthcoming MI450 series. As part of the agreement, OpenAI will receive warrants for up to 160 million AMD shares, with vesting milestones based on deployment volume and AMD’s share price.

If OpenAI exercises the full warrant, the company could acquire roughly 10% ownership in AMD.

The deal challenges Nvidia’s dominancein the AI chip industry, a market where AMD has sought to catch up, alongside cloud providers which are developing their own chips.

Nvidia late last month announced it planned to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI over the next decade.OpenAI agreed to build and deploy Nvidia systems that require 10 gigawatts of power, which Huang said at the time of the announcement is equal to between 4 million and 5 million graphics processing units (GPUs).

Huang said the investment is “very different” from OpenAI’s deal with AMD in that it allows Nvidia to sell directly to the ChatGPT creator.

Comey to Appear in Court in Case That Has Roiled Justice Dept.

The case against James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, was deemed too thin by a previous federal prosecutor, who quit under pressure from President Trump.

NYTs running cover for Comey and their own crimes! He was their favorite leaker

Glenn Thrush

Oct. 8, 2025, 5:03 a.m. ET

The proceedings at the federal courthouse in Alexandria, Va., on Wednesday morning will have the superficial trappings of any other arraignment: The accused will stand before a judge, hear the charges against him and sign the paperwork.

But the initial court appearance of James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, on charges of lying to Congress five years ago will be a highly unusual event with potentially enormous political and legal implications.

The indictment of Mr. Comey, who ordered the investigation into the Trump campaign’s connections to Russia in 2016, represented the most significant legal action taken against those President Trump has publicly targeted for retribution.

The case was presented to a grand jury on Sept. 25 — over the opposition of prosecutors in the Eastern District of Virginia — by Lindsey Halligan, a White House official hastily installed by Mr. Trump as U.S. attorney after her predecessor found insufficient evidence to indict Mr. Comey.

It came shortly after the president all but commanded Attorney General Pam Bondi to take legal action against Mr. Comey; Senator Adam B. Schiff, a California Democrat; and New York’s attorney general, Letitia James.

“Nothing is being done,” he wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform. “What about Comey, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, Leticia??? They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done.”

Mr. Comey faces up to five years in prison if convicted, though many current and former prosecutors believe the case will be difficult to prove — if his lawyers do not succeed in getting the charges quickly dismissed.

“My family and I have known for years that there are costs to standing up to Donald Trump… blah blah blah ,

“We will not live on our knees, and you shouldn’t either,” added Mr. Comey, who has assembled a formidable defense team, includingPatrick J. Fitzgerald, the former U.S. attorney in Chicago known for prosecuting major terrorism and corruption cases.

The arraignment was originally scheduled for Thursday, but the chief judge of the district court moved it up a day, citing logistical and security concerns.

The visuals of vengeance are of great importance to Mr. Trump, who rose to national prominenceas a reality television star who often watched his broadcasts with the sound off to better judge how he looked.

An agent in the F.B.I.’s Washington field office was suspendedafter he refused to organize an escort of uniformed law enforcement officials to walk Mr. Comeyinto the courthouse before the media, according to people with knowledge of the move who spoke on condition ofanonymity for fear of retribution.

It remains unclear how that would have worked. Thus far, Mr. Comey has only been issued a summons to appear in court, although arrests are not unheard-of in such cases.

Ms. Halligan, who narrowly secured a two-count indictment after a shaky solo appearance before the grand jury, has had a hard time getting anyone in her new office to help her with the case, according to current and former prosecutors in the office.

Two prosecutors who work in the Eastern District of North Carolina, Tyler Lemons and Gabriel Diaz, gave official notice on Tuesday that they had been assigned to the case, according to court records.

The case has cast a corrosive pall over the Eastern District of Virginia, one of the most important federal prosecutor’s offices in the nation.

Erik S. Siebert, the district’s former U.S. attorney, came under pressure from Mr. Trumpafter telling his superiors in the Justice Department that there was not enough evidence against Mr. Comey. (Note the NYT’s intentionally refuses to call him President Trump, and calls him Mr. Trump, that’s how much they hate him.)

Since then, Trump Justice Department appointees have fired without cause two top career prosecutors who also objected to the Comey indictment.

The bare-bones, two-page indictment against Mr. Comey was signed only by Ms. Halligan, a former defense lawyer for Mr. Trump who had been serving as a midlevel lawyer in the office of the White House staff secretary.

Mr. Comey was indicted on one count of making a false statement and one count of obstruction of a congressional proceeding in connection with his testimony before a Senate committee in September 2020.

Court records indicate that Ms. Halligan also tried to get the grand jury to indict Mr. Comey on a second false statement charge, which was rejected.

Mr. Comey is not the first former head of the F.B.I. to face criminal charges.

‘These Mothaf*ckas Are Crazy!’ Kamala Harris Blasts Trump Admin as Book Tour Rolls On

Sean James

Oct 7th, 2025, 12:37 pm

Kamala Harris’s book tour continues to generate interesting soundbites, with the former vice president blasting President Donald Trump’s administration, saying “These motha*fuckas are crazy!” during one recent appearance.

Harris shared her assessment while speaking at the “Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit in Los Angeles on Monday. The ex-VP told the crowd at The Getty Center:

We are living history right now, and you all storytellers are living this. You’re not passive observers, you know that. You’re living it, and I would ask you that all the emotions that we are feeling —give those emotions, give that experience to those peoplethat you are writing about and writing for. It gets back to my point about helping people just put a label on it, even if it doesn’t change the circumstance. Because there is so much about this moment that is trying to make people feel like they’ve lost their minds, when in fact, these mothaf*ckas are crazy!

The audience roared with cheers and clapped right afterwards, and Harris started to chuckle.

Her appearance at the event came as Harris is traveling across the country promoting her new book, 107 Days, about her doomed attempt to win the 2024 election. Here is how Harris remembered election night 2024, per The Hollywood Reporter:

I couldn’t articulate anything else — I kept saying over and over again, ‘my God, my God.’ I had never felt that level of pain and grief except that when my mother died, and it was grieving for the country. I knew what was going to happen.

There have been other eye and ear-catching moments on her book tour. Harris, while in Houston last Saturday, stood up and shouted at the audience that Trump “does not have a mandate!”

She also reiterated her bogus claim that she lost the “closest” election of the 21st Century — a claim she had made recently at her alma mater, Howard University.

Trump beat Harris in the Electoral College last year, 312-226, which was the widest margin this century beyond former President Barack Obama’s two presidential victories in 2008 and 2012. The president also won the popular vote with 77 million votes to Harris’s 75 million.

Her next stop on her book tour is on Wednesday in Atlanta.

Gov. JB Pritzker says President Trump deploying troops to Chicago due to ‘dementia’ and obsessive fixations (he’s the one with dementia and obsessive fixations he can’t stop talking about Trump)1/2

Tue, October 7, 2025 at 7:34 PM EDT

In a scathing critique of President Donald Trump, Gov. JB Pritzker on Tuesday accused the Republican president of deploying National Guard troops to the Democratic cities of Chicago and Portland based on fixations that stem in part from his being mentally impaired.

“This is a man who’s suffering dementia,” Pritzker said in a telephone interview with the Tribune. “This is a man who has something stuck in his head. He can’t get it out of his head. He doesn’t read. He doesn’t know anything that’s up to date. It’s just something in the recesses of his brain that is effectuating to have him call out these cities.

“And then, unfortunately, he has the power of the military, the power of the federal government to do his bidding, and that’s what he’s doing.”

The governor’s comments came as National Guard troops from Texas were assembling at a U.S. Army Reserve training center in far southwest suburban Elwood and Trump’s administration was moving forward with deploying 300 members of the Illinois National Guard for at least 60 days over the vocal and legal objections of Pritzker and other local elected leaders.

The Trump administration has said the troops are needed to protect federal agents and facilities involved in its ongoing deportation surge and has sought to do much the same in Portland, Oregon, though those efforts have been stymied so far by temporary court rulings. A federal judge in Chicago is expected to hold a hearing this week over the legal effort by Illinois and Chicago to block the deployments, which Pritzker and other local officials say is not only unnecessary but a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act that prohibits the use of U.S. military assets from taking part in law enforcement actions on domestic soil.

During the interview, Pritzker — who has been one of Trump’s harshest critics and is a potential 2028 presidential Democratic candidate —said the courts will play an integral role in challenging Trump’s efforts in Illinois and across the nation.

“We’re not going to go to war between the state of Illinois and the federal government, not taking up arms against the federal government,” Pritzker said. “But we are monitoring everything they’re doing, and using that monitoring to win in court.”

Pritzker also said he has not had any conversations with his staff or other Democratic governors regarding a so-called soft secession, a political and legal theory that has grown during Trump’s second term in which Democratic states would gradually withdraw their cooperation with the federal government, including withholding financial support, without formally leaving the Union.

“Preparing for and going to court with the law on our side and winning in court is important,” he continued. “It is the most important thing that we can do legally. If there are people who are suggesting there are things that we should do that are illegal. I would suggest to you, we’re not going to do those things.”

But even as the governor said he was counting on winning in the courts, Trump was openly exploring options to circumvent them.

Speaking in the Oval Office on Tuesday, the president reiterated that he was considering employing the two-century-old Insurrection Act to get around legal court orders that would deny him the ability to deploy National Guard troops to cities such as Chicago and Portland over governors’ objections.

“It’s been invoked before,” Trump said of the law, which the Brennan Center for Justice said has been used 30 times, starting with President George Washington, to quell the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794.

The Insurrection Act is an exception to Posse Comitatus and allows a president to deploy the military to “suppress rebellion” or “insurrection” when enforcing federal law becomes “impracticable.”

Past Supreme Court rulings have given the president broad discretionary powers to decide if conditions have been met to invoke the Insurrection Act, but it has left the door open for judicial review to determine if a president invoked the law “in bad faith” or in going beyond “a permitted range of honest judgment.” And the actions of the military, once invoked, are also subject to judicial review.

The last time the Insurrection Act was invoked was by President George H.W. Bush during the Los Angeles riots of 1992, with the support of California Gov. Pete Wilson. It also was used in Chicago in 1968 by President Lyndon Johnson to curb rioting over the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. with the backing of Mayor Richard J. Daley and acting Gov. Samuel Shapiro.

But the last time it was invoked over the opposition of a sitting governor was in 1965 when Johnson used it to federalize troops to protect civil rights marchers in Montgomery, Alabama, over the objections of segregationist Gov. George Wallace.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower famously invoked the act in 1957 to order the Arkansas National Guard to stand down from its orders from Gov. Orval Faubus to prevent the segregation of Little Rock’s public schools following the Supreme Court’s Brown v. Board of Education ruling. Eisenhower also deployed the Army’s 101st Airborne Division to protect Black students attending classes.

As Pritzker has sought to counter Trump on nearly every front, he has joined California Gov. Gavin Newsom in threatening to leave the bipartisan National Governors Association because the organization hasn’t spoken out against Trump’s National Guard mobilizations.

In the Tribune interview, Pritzker noted how nearly all 50 state governors at the time signed on to an April 29, 2024, letter to then-President Joe Biden’s administration opposing the military’s push in Congress to forcibly transfer Air National Guard units performing space missions into the U.S. Space Force without the governors’ consent.

Among those who signed were then-GOP South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who now heads the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, overseeing the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and Border Patrol.

“Well, I’m somebody who likes to reach out and do things in a bipartisan fashion, and I’ve attended NGA events and had friendly relationships with some Republican governors in the past, and the NGA has an important role. But not if it’s unwilling to stand up in this moment and speak on behalf of states’ rights the way that it always has,” Pritzker said. “So I don’t know how I can trust that the NGA actually does stand up for the states with Republicans in charge, apparently they’re just going to do Donald Trump’s bidding.”

Pritzker also continued to defend the process and timing of the Illinois attorney general’s office in filing a lawsuit to halt the National Guard activations, which wasn’t filed until Monday, two days after U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a memo about the Illinois National Guard deployments. This is despite Pritzker and Attorney General Kwame Raoul knowing for weeks that Trump had threatened to send the military to the streets of the Chicago area.

“You have to understand legal proceedings. In order for you to bring a lawsuit of any sort, you have to have what’s called ripeness. It has to be ripe. That means there has to be some action that’s taken to demonstrate that the wrong is being effectuated,” said Pritzker, calling any questions about the timing of the suit “a false avenue to follow.” “Just because someone says they’re going to call out the National Guard to do this in Illinois, until they do, you can’t file suit.”

🚨 JUST IN: Secretary Kristi Noem has arrived at ICE Portland, and is meeting with top ICE, DHS, and Border Patrol officials

Noem prayed over them before the meeting started: “Lord, I just ask that you would continue to put a hedge of Protection around these officers, keep them safe, Lord, but that also that you would continue to bless each and every one of them and their families…”

DUSTIN DEVITO: America’s Defense Giants Are Fueling Wokeness – And Undermining Our Military Readiness

DUSTIN DEVITO October 7, 20251/2

When Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stood before top generals last Tuesday and blasted the military’s obsession with “wokeness,” he was voicing what millions of Americans already know: our armed forces should be focused on readiness and lethality, not ideology.Yet the rot is not confined to the government.

Unfortunately, itruns deep through the private contractors who build our military equipment, betraying the warfighter and threatening national security. For the sake of military readiness, we must end wokeness in our top defense contractors.

Woke Activism In The Defense 5

The five largest U.S. government contractors –Lockheed Martin, RTX, General Dynamics, Boeing, and Northrop Grumman – dominate military procurement. Together, they should be laser-focused on engineering excellence and creating the most effective technology in the world. Instead, four of the “Defense 5” contractorshave surrendered wholesale to the activist Left.

Consider the most influential activist group on Corporate America, the Human Rights Campaign, who annually pressures corporations to comply with radical LGBTQ policies. Four of the Defense 5 hold a perfect score on the HRC’sso-called Corporate Equality Index, indicating they:

Recruit employees and choose vendors based on LGBTQ policies

Force employees to undergo intersectionality training

Cover transgender-related costs for its employees and their children, including puberty blockers and genital surgeries

Support at least one LGBTQ organization or event

Publicly advocate for LGBTQ+ legislation through local, state or federal legislation or initiatives

But the pattern doesn’t stop there. Four of the Defense 5 alsosigned the infamous Business Roundtable 2019 Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation, which asserted that corporations have a “fundamental commitment” to generic “stakeholders” over the traditional principle that corporations exist principally to serve their shareholders. This opened the floodgates to social activism, resulting in Business Roundtable members spending millions of dollars on racial equity causes. Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and RTX subsequently pledged a combined $42 million to organizations focused on DEI and racial equity causes.

According to theCorporate Bias Ratingsdatabase at the 1792 Exchange, four of the Defense 5 are classified “High Risk” for often yielding to “political activismin shaping corporate governance, potentially alienating consumers, dividing employees, and harming shareholders.” This defect in corporate governance results ineverything from ESG integration to discriminatory charitable givingguidelines to lobbying for bills promoting modern gender ideology.Even General Dynamics, who is rated “Medium Risk” and the only Defense 5 contractor without a perfect score on the CEI, still uses its corporate reputation, funds, and political action to promote activist causes.

How DEI Warped Procurement

The ideological capture present is not just internal – it was baked into the very process of defense contracting. For decades, federal procurement rules mandated “set-asides” for businesses defined by race, sex, or other protected characteristics.Contractors were required to submit Affirmative Action Plansand file EEOC reports. These requirements extended through subcontracting, effectively deputizing private industry into enforcing DEI mandates.

In practice, thismeant America’s warfighting capacity was downstream of racial and gender preferences, rather than merit and excellence. How are we supposed to have confidence in our military readiness when our top military suppliers are wasting countless hours and millions of taxpayer dollars on social activism?

To be clear, this wasn’t voluntary. Many contractors felt they had no choice but to comply if they wanted access to lucrative federal contracts. But the legal landscape has changed, leaving no more room for excuses.

DOJ’s New Guidance: Time To End Illegal DEI

On July 29, 2025, the Department of Justice issuednew enforcement guidelinesfor recipients of federal funding. The message was clear:discriminatory DEI practices are illegal. Among the now-prohibited practices are race-based quotas, programs, scholarships, trainings, promotions, contracting preferences, access to resources, and more.

Even “neutral” criteria like “cultural competence” or “lived experience” may be unlawfulif used as proxies for race or sex. Instead, the DOJ recommendsfocusing on skills and qualificationover everything else. In other words, the government has finally given contractors cover to do what they should have done all along – end their entanglement with divisive DEI schemes.

A Call To The Defense Industry

Defense contractors are not like other corporations. They are supposed to provide America with the strongest, most reliable military equipment on earth. When they put activism before readiness, they betray both the warfighter and the taxpayer.

Secretary Hegseth is right:The Department of War is no longer the woke department. It’s time to end wokeness in the military by demanding our top contractors abandon it as well. General Dynamics proves it’s possible to resist at least some of the pressure. But “least bad” is not good enough.Every contractor must align with the law, the mission, and the will of the American people.

If defense giants want to keep taxpayer dollars flowing, they must focus on building the best weapons in the world – not the best scorecards for activist groups.

Part IV – Covering Up the Biggest Political Scandal in U.S. History 1/2

October 8, 2025 | Sundance |

Thankfully, people in Washington DC are finally starting to realize the full scale of the Obama surveillance system. All of the evidence and datapoints -released and yet to surface- flow in one direction. Even the professionally reluctant are starting to admit.

What Obama, Biden, Comey, Crossfire Hurricane, Robert Mueller, Arctic Frost and Jack Smith were doing, was using their offices -and govt systems- to watch their opposition, spy on them, then take action based on the results.

Friend of the Treehouse John Spiropoulos put together a series of videosexplaining how President Obama, FBI Director James Comey and CIA Director John Brennan constructed a coverup to hide their political surveillance operation. Today, the 5th segment is wrapped into a total video containing all segments in the series.

Rumble Link Here – YouTube Link Here

From the perspective of Obama, Comey and Brennan, expanding Hillary Clinton’s Trump-Russia collusion narrative was the key element to hide the activity of the administration prior to the November 2016 election. That’s the motive for the FBI and CIA to collaborate on the agenda after the shocking outcome of the 2016 election result; but pay close attention to the activity of the primary “at risk” official, James Comey.

The December ’16 Joint Analysis Report (JAR), and the January ’17 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), were fabricated to enhance a spying coverup. Spiropoulos has taken the time to put the deconstruction of the ICA into a simple to follow video format.

From a risk management perspective, initially the surveillance and spying operation was a low-risk endeavor. Obama held power and was going to hand off operations to Hillary. The Clinton administration would retain the officials who were doing the surveillance/spying, and no one would ever know.

Donald Trump was not expected to win the election. When he did, all of the participants were suddenly at risk. President Obama and every member of his cabinet involved in the spying operations, then used Clinton’s “Russiagate” smear to cover up Obama’s “Spygate” activity.

The IRS was used to identify targets 2010 through 2012, until discovered in April ’12. Suddenly, President Obama has a problem. President Obama then sends his Chief of Staff, Jack Lew, to run the IRS and block discoveries around the IRS weaponization.

♦ From 2012 through April 2016, the Obama administration was spying on their political opposition using the FBI to conduct surveillance through their access to the NSA database.

♦ In April 2016, NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers was alerted by the NSA compliance officer who noted the uptick in database access activity by the FBI searching the Republican primary candidate field.

♦ Post April 2016, the Obama administration had a problem. Enter FBI operation “Crossfire Hurricane,” July 2016, in an effort to remove the political risk.

♦ October 2016, the FBI rushes a FISA application through the FISC, circumventing the missing ‘Woods File’, with the Chris Steele dossier as evidence.

♦ October 2016, NSA Director Rogers sends the first official notification of the FBI using the NSA database to the oversight body, the FISA Court.

♦ December 2016, worried about Trump now discovering the NSA database spying, the Obama administration wraps the Clinton smear into official policy, blaming the Russians and validating Crossfire Hurricane. That’s where the Intelligence Community Assessment becomes critical.

♦ May 2017, needing to extend the coverup of the FBI activity, special counsel Robert Mueller then takes over Crossfire Hurricane. All FBI evidence and personnel transfers to Mueller.

♦ April 2019, Robert Mueller operation wraps up, prior activity coverup shifts to Impeachment process.

♦ July 2019, John Durham kicks in extending DOJ/FBI control through 2020 election.

♦ Fall 2020, mail-in ballots triggered to facilitate 2020 election outcome.

♦ January 2021, FBI triggers Operation Arctic Frost, targeting Trump supporters and 2020 election researchers. FBI again using NSA database search queries to identify targeting.

♦ March 2021, FBI Arctic Frost results fed to J6 Committee and DHS. TSA trigger “Quiet Skies” targeting via results from Arctic Frost.

♦ August 2022, FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago to retrieve any evidence Donald Trump might have of FBI spying and surveillance activity.

♦ September 2023, Jack Smith targets congressional members who had contact with President Trump.

It’s one long continuum of coverup activity within Main Justice and the FBI, supported by all other various agencies who operate in support. What are they covering up? The 2012 through 2016 political spying operation within the Obama administration, as carried out by the same Main Justice and FBI operations.

Senators Johnson and Schmitt Notice How the FBI Does Not Follow Separation of Power Constitutional Provisions

October 8, 2025 | Sundance |

Sens. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., demand accountability as evidence behind the FBI ‘Arctic Frost’ operation starts to surface.Slowly at first, then suddenly….
