Having the dedicated threads for topics was a good idea, but it was like herding cats to get anons to post the actual info in them, as opposed to posting the result in the general and then linking it in the dedicated topic thread. A little frustrating.

The topic threads seemed to be such a good idea because

a) no "leader"

b) thread named for the topic (easily found)

c) thread named also easily found in archives

d) good info in thread usable for memes/infographics

e) see what's there what still needed to be found/explored

Organization without top-down anything/self-doxing, mostly tidy, concentration of research dig results in one place per topic.

>Maybe dual posting is the answer - post on main and topic thread if one exists.

Hence posting the actual research result in the topic thread and linking that in the general (for those who want to read it): concentration in one thread, links/updates put in the General.

The concentration of data also ensures that there is less chit-chat and more results in there, whereas there is always chit-chat/arguing/shilling/raiding in the Generals. Those who want to know more about a given topic are afforded the opportunity without having to follow 10+ General threads/day just in case someone posted something about topic A.

>the original spreadsheet, which once included all sorts of related digs and answers, fell into disuse.

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to spend as much time here as I was able to before, and after psycho threatened to delete all anons' hard work on the spreadsheet, it had to be "closed" to participation in the anons' answer column. That of course makes it far more sparse and difficult to populate (with less time here to scrape research results).

>thus when we tell newfags to lurk moar for asking a question we sometimes really aren't helping them get an answer because a dig completed 8 months ago is not available for review.

A true dilemma.

That's not a bad idea. The comments for the master sheet are open (a good idea) but it's so huge I can't see which cell there is a comment FOR. The comments are actually on a separate tab, and re open for all to contribute. It's the last tab to the right on the spreadsheet (I still have to address the existing comments re: errors on the supplemental archive).

That may be the way to do it - again, the comments tab is OPEN for all (no need for a gulag account, no logging in, open to ALL)

Thank you!

It's good to have you back!

>things going slow and "normal" as usual, except things are shifting and people as usual have no fucking clue.

The sleeper will awaken (from their stupor)!

People do feel it and, like you said, have no idea why or what's really going on. But that's good since very few actually trust the mockingbirds
