An unusually powerful M7.4 earthquake struck in the Philippine Sea 24 kilometer from Manay, The Philippines in the morning of Friday October 10th, 2025. The USGS has indicated there is a potential risk at tsunami's following this earthquake.

This earthquake hit under water in the Philippine Sea, right off the coast of The Philippines (12 mi offshore), 24 kilometer east-northeast of Manay in Davao. The center of this earthquake had a quite shallow depth of 58 km. Shallow earthquakes usually have a larger impact than earthquakes deep in the earth.
