It's well known the that the 'chrome' lugs often will just break. you thus need a smaller sized wrench.
also the studs will snap off.
The chrome lugs are actullay steel with a chrome shell around them.
Often it's necessary to bring a 10 year old car into a shop and have all the nuts replaced and whatever studs might be no longer any good.
If you can't get the nut off then it's best to have the car towed to a shop and have the shop replace them, which might also include new studs.
Sad but true. But those chrome lugs look so pretty for a year or two.
If it won't come loose and you don't put some oil on it you'll just break the casing around the steal lug nut inside the chrome shell.
If a break bar is used you might just snap off the stud . . .
have the car towed to a mechanic, have them inspect and possibly replace all the lug nuts and whatever studs also need to be replace.
