reminder: debt is not inherently bad.
in the hands of a fool, even good turns to evil
eg:
Proverbs 14:16: "The wise are cautious and avoid danger; fools plunge ahead with reckless confidence". A reckless fool will be careless with something good and is destined to ruin it.
Proverbs 17:16: "Why should fools have money in hand to buy wisdom, when they lack the heart to get it?". The proverb indicates that a valuable resource (money) is wasted on someone who has no intention of using it wisely.
Proverbs 10:23: "A fool finds pleasure in wicked schemes, but a person of understanding delights in wisdom". A fool can take a situation and, through bad intentions, twist it into something harmful, while a wise person finds joy in doing what is right.
Proverbs 19:3: "A man's own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the LORD". This verse captures the result of a fool's handling of good things: they ruin it through their own foolishness and then blame others or God for their problems.
