Trump directs the Pentagon to use ‘all available funds’ to ensure troops are paid despite shutdown

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Saturday that he has directed the Defense Department to use “all available funds” to ensure U.S. troops are paid Wednesday despite the government shutdown, a short-term fix that will not apply to the hundreds of thousands of federal workers who have been furloughed.

Trump said in a social media post that he was acting because “our Brave Troops will miss the paychecks they are rightfully due on October 15th.”

The Republican president’s directive removes one of the pressure points that could have forced Congress into action, likely ensuring that the shutdown — now in its 11th day and counting — extends into a third week and possibly beyond. But no similar action seems forthcoming for federal employees also working without pay while thousands are now being laid off during the lapse in government operations. The White House budget office started the layoffs on Friday.

Trump blamed Democrats and said he was exercising his authority as commander in chief to direct Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth “to use all available funds to get our Troops PAID on October 15th.” The Republican president added, “We have identified funds to do this, and Secretary Hegseth will use them to PAY OUR TROOPS.”

The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) government filing site lists hundreds of Christian churches that receive Israeli Government funding to promote Zionism.

Sheriff Joe Lombardo, who botched the investigation and timeline, became the Governor of Nevada in 2023. He is a Republican. It is also interesting to note that in 2017, John Pelletier was a Las Vegas police captain at the time of the shooting, and he later became the Maui Police Chief and assisted in the catastrophic fires there in 2023.

EPA Chief Lee Zeldin Uncovered BILLIONS in ‘Payoffs’ to Biden Activists and Democrat Donors

Solar companies and some labor unions are suing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) because it canceled billions in grants under the $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund that was passed under Biden in 2022. However, EPA chief Lee Zeldin said that the money went through multiple pass-throughs and was funding activists, environmental NGOs, former Biden and Obama officials and Democrat donors. It has now been defunded. The budget for the EPA is now $10 billion, nearly one third of the budget under the Biden regime.

Yet no one is in prison.

Other Biden spending bills have also been cut: earlier this year, it was revealed that the Department of Energy handed out a staggering $93 billion in loans and commitments during the final 76 days of the Biden administration, a figure that more than doubled the loan total from the previous 15 years combined. Per the US Department of Energy’s website, its Loan Programs Office (LPO) provides “clean energy and advanced transportation technologies….with access to needed loans and loan guarantees when private lenders cannot or will not.” As of August 2022, the LPO had loaned out only $32.7 billion, but Biden-era spending bills supercharged the office, increasing its loan authority for infrastructure projects to $400 billion. Of that total, though, $290 billion
