each time I died, not near death, that would mean, my brain and heart still functioned in the body, I immediately rose, or got information outside of my body of plans. yea, I'm old, so in ny in the 60s and 70s, the verb, to narc, was to tell on someone, snitch, and that is how the word was used in the sentence above. It later meant telling on anyone for any kind of reason, ' you narc'd with my mom, saying I was drinking and out late', etc.
