Met Police say they will investigate bombshell Prince Andrew claim

The Metropolitan Police have said they are going to look into recent claims about Prince Andrew.

The Metropolitan Police have said they will look into reports that Prince Andrew tried to get the Metropolitan Police to dig up dirt on his sexual assault accuser Virginia Giuffre. A bombshell email obtained by the Mail on Sunday shows that Andrew asked his taxpayer-funded Met bodyguard to investigate Ms Giuffre and passed him her date of birth and confidential social security number.

It comes after the King's brother announced on Friday night that he would relinquish his remaining royal titles, including Duke of York, and public duties amid renewed scrutiny of his ties to Epstein and an alleged Chinese spy.

Victoria Derbyshire interrupted Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg to deliver the update from the force. She said: "I want to give you this breaking news if I may, it's from the Metropolitan Police. They say they are going to look into claims that Prince Andrew ordered his bodyguard to dig up dirt on Virginia Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse. She says she was forced to have sex with him when she was 17."

’No Kings, Says Massachusetts Democrat Who’s Been in Elected Office Since 1973'

The protesters weren’t the only senior citizens at the ‘No Kings’ protests today. In Massachusetts, Senator Ed Markey was out in full force, yelling about the fact that we don’t have kings in the United States, as if we didn’t know that.

The ironic part is that Ed Markey has been in elected office in Massachusetts since 1973.

Edward John Markey (born July 11, 1946) is an American politician serving as the junior United States senator from the state of Massachusetts, a seat he has held since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, he served 20 terms (18 full, two partial) as the U.S. representative for Massachusetts’s 7th congressional district from 1976 to 2013. Before that, he was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1973 to 1976. When Senator Patrick Leahy retired in 2023, Markey became the dean of New England’s Congressional delegation.

In 2013, after John Kerry was appointed United States Secretary of State, Markey was elected to serve out the remainder of Kerry’s Senate term in a 2013 special election. Markey defeated Stephen Lynch in the Democratic primary and Republican Gabriel E. Gomez in the general election. He was elected to a full term in the Senate in 2014.

Do you know why Markey was really at the protest today? Because he is about to face a younger challenger in Massachusetts and he needed to show the base that he’s still with them.

Massachusetts Congressman Seth Moulton officially announced Wednesday he’s running against 79-year-old Sen. Ed Markey in the 2026 U.S. Senate race.

“I just don’t think we can wait six years for new leadership in our party,” Moulton, 46, a Democrat who represents the Sixth District, north of Boston, told WBZ-TV. “The status quo is not working, and our party leaders are clinging to that old playbook that’s gotten us two terms of Donald Trump.”…

Moulton acknowledged Wednesday that “Senator Markey and I agree on a lot of the issues.” However, Moulton added, “He’s been in elected office for half a century. That’s longer than I’ve been alive. And I just believe it’s time for a new generation of leadership in Washington.”

Markey, like many others in Congress, needs to retire.

We don’t need lectures about kings from people who have been living off government jobs for more than half a century.
