Outrage after Israel returns Palestinian bodies in ‘horrific condition’ to Gaza, many of them missing organs
Human rights monitors and medical experts have condemned the conditions of 120 Palestinian bodies handed over by Israel to Gaza, noting that many of the remains show "clear evidence" of torture and the possibility of organ theft.
The Government Media Office in Gaza said that official examinations showed that most of the Palestinian bodies retrieved indicated systematic torture, field executions and crushings.
The return of the unidentified bodies came in three batches, with 45 bodies handed over on Tuesday, another 45 on Wednesday and 30 on Thursday.
Muneer Alboursh, director general of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, described the bodies in a post on X as being "bound like animals, blindfolded and bore horrific signs of torture and burns that reveal the extent of the crimes committed in secret".
"They did not die naturally; they were executed after being restrained. These people were not buried underground, they were kept in the occupation's refrigerators for long months," he added.
Graphic images circulating online show decomposing bodies bound with rope and blindfolded, with what forensic reports have identified as signs of physical torture.
Some clips showed Palestinians viewing screens showing images of the corpses, attempting to identify if the bodies belonged to loved ones.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor noted that remains released from Israel "bore clear marks of hanging, rope imprints around their necks, injuries from close-range gunfire, bound hands and feet with plastic restraints, and blindfolds".
It added that corpses showed signs of being crushed by tanks, while others indicated that individuals were subjected to fractures, burns and deep wounds.

Ever-determined to oust popular GOP Rep. Thomas Massie, President Trump has posted yet another anti-Massie rant on social media, trashing the libertarian-minded Kentuckian and urging failed state-level candidate Ed Gallrein to mount a midterm primary challenge. In a 250-word Friday-night post employing his trademark random capitalization, Trump wrote:
“Third Rate Congressman Thomas Massie, a Weak and Pathetic RINO from the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, a place I love, and won big SIX TIMES, must be thrown out of office, ASAP! …
I hope Ed gets into the Race against Massie. Unlike ‘lightweight’ Massie, a totally ineffective LOSER who has failed us so badly, CAPTAIN ED GALLREIN IS A WINNER WHO WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN. Going back to his first term, Trump has periodically attacked Massie, but his fury soared to new heights in June after Massie condemned Trump's decision to unconstitutionally commit US armed forces to an attack on Iran, joining a war initiated by the State of Israel. Trump posted a lengthy tirade that concluded with an assurance that Massie would face a Trump-backed challenger in the 2026 GOP primary. Days later, the "MAGA Kentucky PAC" was created with the sole purpose of ousting Massie, funded entirely by three Israel-backing billionaires who don't live in the state, and run by top Trump operatives Tony Fabrizio and Chris LaCivita.
The anti-Massie drive opened up with a combined $2 million contributed by Miriam Adelson, Paul Singer and John Paulsen. While the drive to end Massie's career has plenty of money, it's lacking something more important: a candidate. Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL whose political career consists only of a 2024 primary loss in a state senate race, thanked Trump for the encouragement, and said he'd make a decision soon. Massie was quick to ridicule his adversaries' quest for a candidate:

Relatives of murdered hostages criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu, with one aunt sarcastically “thanking” him for returning her niece “in a coffin” and others accusing the government of neglect.
Relatives of murdered hostages posted criticisms of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on social media this weekend.
Hana Cohen, the aunt of Inbar Hayman, also wrote a Facebook post sarcastically "thanking" Netanyahu, while blaming him for his "war of destruction" which caused Hayman to be returned "in a coffin."
Hayman's remains were returned from the Gaza Strip on Wednesday night, and was buried on Friday. She was murdered while attending the Nova music festival, and her remains were held in Gaza for over two years.
Cohen added that she "personally will make sure to hold accountable everyone who caused your murder, my Inbar- from the political leadership and from the military.”
She, however, expressed genuine gratitude for the "many good people from both the Right and Left who helped bring Hayman's remains home," and concluding that "tens of thousands came to salute" the "heroine of life."
Zoli Gyongyosi, brother-in-law of Smadar and Roee Idan who were murdered on Kibbutz Kfar Aza during the October 7 massacre, criticized Netanyahu in a Friday Facebook post.
Gyongyosi, who along with his wife, adopted the Idan's three children, wrote that he has waited for hostages to come home before saying what is "on his heart."
Since Avigail Idan, Smadar and Roee's daughter, returned from captivity he has become "a national sweetheart," as he did not say what he thought about October 7, he claimed.
If he spoke his mind, people would say he is "left-wing, or anti-Netanyahu," he believed, clarifying before beginning his criticism that he is not "left-wing," and has been "a Likud man from the first day I stepped into the polling station."

Where Has The National Guard Been Deployed?
The National Guard is currently deployed in three cities in the United States: Washington D.C., Los Angeles and Memphis.
While troops were briefly deployed in Chicago, they were blocked from activation by a judge on October 9. Similarly, court rulings have stopped the rollout of Oregon's own National Guard members to Portland, as well as the deployment of National Guard troops from California to Portland.
In June, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered some 4,100 troops of the National Guard to Los Angeles amid protests against immigration raids. This was despite backlash from California Governor Gavin Newsom, who rejected the move.
While the vast majority of these personnel have now been demobilized, around 300 were still on duty there as of the start of September.
As Statista's Anna Fleck shows in the chart below, it soon became clear that it was not a standalone act, with the Trump administration then deploying roughly 2,300 troops to Washington D.C. in August, including some 800 from D.C., this time on account of countering crime and homelessness. While authorities in Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia told the Associated Press that they plan to withdraw their troops from the capital in late October and November, it remains unclear when the remaining out-of-state troops will also leave.
This wind down, however, comes as the Trump administration has pushed to increase the National Guard’s presence in other U.S. cities, including the aforementioned Chicago and Portland. Trump has also suggested over the past months sending troops to several other cities, including San Francisco, Oakland, St. Louis, Mo., Baltimore, New Orleans and New York City.
While most Americans do not support military involvement unless it's against an external threat, Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry has requested that 1,000 Louisiana National Guard Troops be activated “throughout the state to urban centers”, to address crime, mentioning Shreveport, Baton Rouge and New Orleans specifically.

Giuffre writes that she was ‘bloodied, beaten and raped’ by a ‘well-known prime minister’ in a series of brutal encounters.

“In her posthumous memoir ‘Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice’, Giuffre recalled begging Epstein to step in after the unnamed politician forced her to beg for her life — but the pedophile coldly told her it was simply part of her job.
‘After the attack, I couldn’t stay a fool.
